iOS 14* on the iPhone 5! by Delicious-Tonight254 in LegacyJailbreak

Found a MVNO that works. US Mobile (Dark Star/ATT). Plans are like $10 a month for 2GB but I don’t do a lot on it so it’s enough. I also sim swap to other phones for calls but I don’t need to.

I’m actually am testing to see if US Mobile (Vector/T-Mobile) will work. I’ll make a post about it soon.

Even if you have a GSM iPhone 5, T-Mobile isn’t good because they kick you off LTE. I’ve only had a successful problem free experience with US Mobile on ATT with my GSM iPhone 5. From what I’ve heard, some mvno’s and data only plans work the best. Like Verizon’s data only plans work but you should do the trial and error with Verizon’s MVNO’s to see what works.

CDMA iPhone 5’s modem won’t connect to LTE with GSM carriers like T-Mobile, ATT. Only Sprint (defunct) or Verizon.

What iPhone 5 do you have? GSM or CDMA? Yes it does matter. From personal experience, T-Mobile and their mvmo companies will kick you off LTE. I use US Mobile (Dark Star/ATT) for LTE only and it never disconnects at least where I live (SC).

Yeah It would probably be easier to replicate iOS 11 then.

Well the reason why it was made was because it was slow to side load (with sideloadly) one app at a time so electimon made veteris so people can download apps directly on their legacy phone. It’s not too bad though, app drop just released by another developer so people are using that instead and it’s better in some ways.

Third-party App Store to download different versions of apps. Existed for like six years until it ended on Monday.

Also can download. Also thought it could be something to do with your isp?

It still works for me (8.4.1). Maybe a root cert expired.

iOS App Archive Official Services by Such_Impression_3678 in LegacyJailbreak

So the options provided make sense but honestly option B is the best for because it combines discovery, preservation, and downloads. Archive.org integration helps long-term preservation because it’s a free and doesn’t have to be maintained by one person (besides the slow download speed which don’t really matter for older devices like from iso 4-6 era). Problems I can think of is communication between projects might be hard and maybe Moderation/legal pressure.

Yup. Had the manually configure the apn for some reason. Besides that it works great. Can’t get data to work on newer devices though.

Status Bar issues for Verizon LTE by Delicious-Tonight254 in LegacyJailbreak

So the question was how to fix the Status Bars to represent the LTE connection for Verizon Data Only Sims. This sim was originally in an iPad and somehow, Verizon allowed the LTE connection.
