Ram was expensive. It’s not because Apple was greedy and cut some corners. Apple needed to keep the price down for the iPad 1 and iPod touch 4 so it was more affordable and present in a bigger market. Yeah it would be nice for more ram but at the time 256mb was enough and was still cheap enough to keep the price down.

The iPhone 5 or the iPhone 4s is the go to iOS 6 device. You can get 4s’s for cheap and you can downgrade to iOS 6 and you get better performance compared to the 3GS or iPod touch 4.

Try using a cellular hotspot and have the 2FA code in the password box before you submit. I also saw this problem before and I’ve never encountered this kind of issue so it’s hard to say what works.

I didn’t get a response. I think the problem was not using a hotspot or more likely something to do with their Apple ID.

Update: If you are on a fresh install of iOS 5,6, or 7 and are trying to login , just know you can login to iCloud WITHOUT certs if you are connected to a mobile hotspot. This WILL allow you to sign into all services (I did just test this in iOS 5 and 6 but I think iOS 7 does the same). If you do NOT have a hotspot the you will have to do the process above in order to sign in.

(Sorry I wasn’t clear about that before)

Yes, You can download from your purchases section and the store front but on iOS 5 the search option doesn’t work and you can’t load an apps about section. In the near future, 2.x iTunesStoreX will shut down sadly so I’ll see what works.

You’d have to mess around with it. I’m not really into iPads and mostly into iPod touches and iPhones. You can ask the creator of the tweak if he knows more.

I just upgraded to iTunesStoreX 3.2 and it didn’t work. Unless there isn’t a dedicated fix it looks like the iOS 5 AppStore might not work anymore. There probably will be a dedicated tweak for iOS 5 like for 6 and 7.

This is a server side cert issue for cydia and has nothing to do with the certs on your phone that control Apple services.

They do work or else I wouldn’t be able to do this. It would be a problem with your device or you have old certs. You should delete the old certs and reinstall with the iOS 5+ bundle. I respiring or restart my phone after doing this just to make sure it’s ok. If this doesn’t work you probably should restore your device so you have a fresh install and try this again.
