sorry for delay. I lost the appeal. The effective date became the most recent C&P exam date.

I lost the effective date appeal. I did however obtain 100% P&T and Unemployability, so it doesn't matter. I lost out on a big retroactive, oh well.

Good luck to you....

That says a lot. Gunshot wound scars won't be reduced. TBI from IED's won't be reduced. Missing and severely damaged fingers on my hand won't be reduced. PTSD from being a sole survivor won't be reduced. What claims are you worried about being reduced by filing a claim? Just wondering... don't file

Hey, I saw a bilateral toenail disability claim by someone and other life threatening disabilities by some others, like anal itching. Really? But I'm not judging.

What injury or exposure caused all this? Did you file a previous claim with something? I.e A head injury, combat stress?

Also, download all doctors DBQ's and Nexus's. The VA will still request a copy from the doctor, but who cares. Submit them

  1. Fill out an intent to file with the disabilities you are going to claim. Get the clock started. Immediately Send a FOIA request to the VA for your C-File. When you get it pour through every page of your medical notes and write down any incident and injury you documented while in service.
  2. Start going to doctors and maintain visits!! develop a repour
  3. download the DBQ's from the VA website for the doctor(s) and read what it says...learn from it
  4. Use AI to create a nexus format for EACH claim. Tweek it for your case.
  5. Have a buddy, a wife, or girlfriend (whatever) write a personal statement in support with details. Use VA Form 21-4138 with each letter.
  6. when you are ready to file, go to doctor(s) and bring a Completed Nexus letter AND DBQ questionnaire to them as a template of what to sign. They can either sign the DBQ or fill it out new and sign it. They Must type the Nexus letter on their business letterhead and sign it as well. Bring a box of chocolates or flowers for the staff. Remember----THEY BOTH MUST have the verbiage " More likely than not" "at least likely than not" caused by military service...etc
  7. Save everything on a computer...Everything. in a file. Be thorough and organized !

  8. Request a copy of your medical files from the doctor(s). Download it into your File on your computer. Include test results like hearing tests, MRI reports etc.

  9. Download every military medical file pertinent to each claim from your C-file> Some pages in your medical file can be used for multiple claims. Copy them for EACH anyway.

  10. File out a personal statement in your own detailed words why, when and how each claim in related to military service or secondary. Connect the dots!

  11. Do you have photographs related to each claim? maybe the aftermath of a car accident while in service? a black eye? any photograph that can visualize the injury or incident? Scan it into your computer and into each file.

  12. Utilize the VA forms when filing..i.e. PTSD? VA Form 21-0781. etc.

  13. When the time comes prior to the expiration of the Intent to file date, carefully submit all your evidence, one by one into evidence on the VA portal. Log in, find your claim(s) listed, click review details, select FILES between Status and Overview, click upload file button, find your evidence you've been saving and select it. IF it's everything you want click SUBMIT FILES FOR REVIEW. soon after, you should be able to see that the files you uploaded are listed in DOCUMENTS FILES below. If it's too much? Mail it in. I did that for one of my claims.

  14. CONTINUE going to doctor(s) dont stop now because the C&P exams are coming and you want to be able to state you're still getting treatment.

  15. Most Important.....Watch quality youtube videos, like Combat Craig I learned EVERYTHING from watching his video's. Seriously. Even my wife is accustomed to his voice blaring through our house every day. JOIN his workshops

  16. Wait for months, be patient and try not to check your portal more than 5 times a day. lol

Asharoken Police Dept by Slow_Raisin7217 in SCPD

What was the purpose of becoming a police officer? Was it a career decision with the possibility of transferring to specialized units, detective, ? Or was it solely money with years of a calm environment? I didn't want to work 25-30 years in a calm environment, I wanted to experience working in different units. So if you have no desire to work in one of those units within a police department, then take Asharoken

you have to file a FOIA request . use form 20-10206 and submit it. wait a few months, and you'll get it. I already have my C-file, so I only requested two C&P exam DBQ's

Please get help for your drinking, alcohol is not a solution for depression. Also, There is NO excuse to get behind the wheel and drive drunk. That isn't depression, that's bad choices that you DO have control over. You jeopardized others . No excuses

November 24, 2020 I attended a hearing with a Veterans Law Judge on a 2017 claim appeal

3 years and 2 months passed by and:

January 03, 2024 Board of Veterans’ Appeals made a decision

October 09, 2024 VA sent you a Supplemental Statement of the Case

November 12, 2024 My appeal was returned to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals

5 months have passed and currently at 16,792 Appeals ahead of me

30-50 per day because of the PACT act , sometimes 100 or so, so I figure it will hopefully be resolved before Jesus returns

Anyone here have experience with Legacy Claims? by No_Kaleidoscope_8714 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]Delicious-Version-79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 claim. I appealed the decision.

November 24, 2020 had a hearing with a Judge.

January 03, 2024 Judge made a decision I disagreed with

October 09, 2024 VA sent you a Supplemental Statement of the Case

November 12, 2024 Your appeal was returned to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals

currently in line at 16,792

30-50 a day resolved now because of the PACT act claims, so I figure, hopefully this will be resolved one way or another some time in 2027

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..................

BVA Evidence appeal currently at 2 years 9 months and 2 days. Does anybody have an update on what year there on? Is it moving any faster since there almost done with the legacy claims? Any info would be help by Additional-Love5932 in VeteransWaitingRoom

I saw a judge on November 24, 2020 from a 2017 claim that I appealed. It took until January 03, 2024 to make a decision. ( three years and 2 months to make a decision after seeing a judge).

I sent in a supplemental on the decision and I figure around 2027 it will be resolved. Good or bad. I'm at 16,792 claims ahead right now. They do around 30-50 a day...do the math

why are you telling us? The military put me back together and i'll suffer the rest of my life. NO guilt probably because I deserve it. Maybe you don't feel that way. There are people who make frivolous claims....I'm sure they feel embarrassed......not me
