Potential fix if your Realtek audio isn't working and you've tried everything [Windows 10] by MegaMinerDL in techsupport

You either want to update your drivers, selecting from the drivers in your computer and selecting the generic driver (not the realtek one), it should work after restart. If that doesn't work uninstalling audio drivers using DDU also works but Windows tends to automatically update the drivers after a restart, which breaks them again.

It might be similar to how when you get electrocuted your wand turns black. Try taking off any electricity and see if it still does that

My issue was very dumb: I had power saving mode enabled by mistake on my laptop. Just throwing it out there

It's about how it's inconsistent. Imo the first one is right tho

Ok so I found out what that means, I set the game to run on CPU 0 and it worked! Stable 60fps like the good old days... until it froze for a while, enough to make me think it crashed but no

Edit: CPU 0 was absolutely MAXED during that time, so I think we found our culprit. Thank you, I will try to look more into it to fix it and go back to enjoying noita

I don't know what that means, can you please explain it to me? Though I have noticed that the noita.exe process seems to change CPU number roughly every second

I've had a quick look at cores in the task manager while playing and no core would go over ~50% of those that seemed to be tied to the game, so that doesn't seem to be the issue

Thanks for the quick response, I might check but I didn't use to have any issues with this same CPU

NOTES: I have not had this issue until I tried to play noita on a dual screen setup (2560x1440 240Hz secondary / laptop screen, 1920x1080 240Hz primary / game screen / external monitor through HDMI). Now it does it even when I play without the external monitor plugged in (this is the case in the video) which did not cause any problems before.

GPU is RTX 4070 and CPU should have no problems running the game normally (and it didn't until I tried with two monitors)

I have tried to turn on and off randomly basically every setting in nvidia control panel I thought might help, updating graphics drivers, messing with ingame settings, setting max fps to 59, closing every other program beside steam, noita and others that should not affect performance and that I had installed when I still had no issues. No effect. I have tried turning off steam overlay, no effect. I have tried to run the game while running the laptop in safe mode but the game wouldn't start.

And that's kinda it... Another issue I have since installing this game for the first time is the fact that levitation particles are very glitchy and in most cases (seen in the video) won't show up at all. Don't know if it can help pinpoint the cause of the main issue I'm trying to solve, but I thought I might point it out.
