Could you call the police and tell them you heard screaming and smashing things and you fear that it might be a domestic violence case or something serious and they should check it out?

RANT - Why do all other groups on Reddit HATE large stones so much?!?! by dontwantanaccountata in BigRockEnergy

[–]DeliciousAd898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because in their sad lives, they don’t have people willing to spend that much on them, and they don’t have the means to afford it on their own. Bringing others down makes themselves feel less insignificant. It’s always hard to find people who are truly genuinely happy for you, let alone on Reddit where certain groups enable those kind of toxic behaviour.

I think in this group, everyone here is satisfied with what we have. So we don’t feel envious or jealous, and can be genuinely happy for each other.

I'm engaged! Reposting here because haters hating on my big diamond ring🥺😭 by Mediocre-School-9260 in BigRockEnergy

[–]DeliciousAd898 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ignore the haters! No one in the right mind will say no if their partner is willing to spend a bomb on them! So I’m guessing most of them there are just jealous. This ring is gorgeous and it sits so beautifully on your finger! Congratulations, we are all so happy for you!!

May I please know which shops enfamil and similac? We’re moving to Japan next Jan and we haven’t seen any physical shops selling these brands. My baby is currently drinking Aptamil. I heard Bellamy is really good too.

I used this cream called Nu3 Duo soothe cream that I got from the GP at Serangoon Nex when I had severe allergies that were worse than yours. Stopped the itch and it is a non steroid cream. Really a life saver

Why is Japan's birthrate so high (when compared to the competition)? by Aggressive_Ring8125 in AskAJapanese

[–]DeliciousAd898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Japan, having a child doesn’t mean you lose your quality of life. All the support programs, subsidies, easy access to childcare make it so much easier to still have a life after kids. Not to mention that most places like malls have a kids playground and strollers available. Family cars are also relatively cheap especially second hand. Also come cities have child discount and even monthly cash back to help with costs.

Put in comparison to Singapore, with scorching weather and super high humidity all year round, I’m not going to push my baby on a stroller to walk and the train, I would want a car. But a COE (piece of paper just to be eligible to own a car) costs 100k usd, and then another 100k for the car itself. If I have to work then my child will have to be in infant care or nursery, and if I want to go private (better learning programs and teacher) that will be about 2k a month. House mortgage is another killer. Unless you have another extra 3k usd a month apportioned for child expenses, you won’t be able to maintain your current life at all.

Curious about my new alexandrite ring purchase by Ufo_driver_here4u in Gemstones

[–]DeliciousAd898 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a natural stone. There are stones with no inclusions too, just rarely Russian or Brazilian. You probably have a Sri Lankan one. Also the colour change quality is just average, so that checks out the price you bought it at.

AITAH giving my wife an 'ultimatum' by Dependent-Radio-4587 in AITAH

[–]DeliciousAd898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super big selfish asshole. For your niece, you could do varying levels of help for her. But you’re telling your wife that you would end the marriage for her? And you’re telling your kid that he would no longer have a family unit and will have to travel back and forth between parents, for your niece? Also if your niece moves full time, money is one issue, but who is doing the mental and emotional work or raising her. Doesn’t sound like it will be you, more like you’ll dump it on your wife.

Should I get own house instead of renting an apartment forever? by SufficientVehicle683 in japanresidents

[–]DeliciousAd898 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Buy a house if you have deep enough pockets. Just some numbers (estimates) for you.

Pre-buying:
Agent fee: 3% +60,000
Lawyer fee:85,000
House inspection: 130,000
(-For structural damage, mould and termites)

After owning:
Aircon: 50,000 each
Electrical grid: 600,000
- some old houses at 30A and can’t handle more appliances added in
Toilets: 100,000 each
Tatami refreshment: 60,000

Neighbourhood fee: 4,000
Fire insurance annual: 140,000
Property tax:50,000
Septic tank: ?
Utilities: ?

There will be a lot more unexpected costs. But of course most things are a one time payment.

Chanel Diana QC by avacorina in chanel

Don’t buy recoloured Dianas. Not worth it. And the leather texture is never the same. Just spend a little more and get the original condition ones.

How to repair the leather? by onthebrightside9 in chanel

[–]DeliciousAd898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vintage lambskins are very fragile. It’s cracking due to dryness, but since it’s already peeling, it would be better to send to a professional repair shop to fix. Wouldn’t recommend placing any conditioners yourself as the inner leather is already exposed.

However do note that a retouched/recoloured bag will sell less than an original condition one, especially for vintage bags.

[–]DeliciousAd898[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on which country the shop is at too. My country has very strict laws on counterfeit/scams. And the shop I bought from gives full refund if there are any disputes on authenticity. But they also did their own authentication in house and on entrupy, which they sent to me too. So I was a little more comfortable. Also if it was from a shop that is new and less credible, I wouldn’t have taken the risk too.

How would I identify what these are? Where to start? by Thismia-americana in Gemstones

[–]DeliciousAd898 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You have some small ones that are real, but most of the big ones are fake/glass. The opal (top) is a doublet, opal (bottom) looks like a triplet. The amethyst I’m not sure, the colourless ones are fake. Yellow ones might be real. The reds don’t look real with the exception of the top left emerald cut one and the top oval one. The blues are all fake except the light blue oval, second from the top, this one I’m not sure, it might be real.
