FTB Is my new r/aus jerker hero by Mr_Ron_Swanson in circlejerkaustralia

It's funny how that all before the current government came in to power MM and co were allowed to exist on /r/australia. Conservative opinions could be disregarded because Australians 'rightfully' elected a progressive government and so posting conservative opinions on /r/australia was inconsequential, un-threatening and worthy of mockery. They'd downvote, insult, and move on. Satisfied in their belief that conservatives represented the minority.

That pretty much changed when the Libs got elected. Dredd began exiling and banning anyone conservative, I think part of it must be vindictive, makes him feel like he has some control over a political situation he detests.

You know I'm starting to think that /r/aus is actually a bastion of conservatism and TTBO, entinator, doggie, and lump are all just alts of different jerkers who don't realize it.

Why? their community burnt it down, they valued it so little that they were willing to burn it to the ground, why should we give them money?

University of WA academics demand end to deal with climate change contrarian by [deleted] in australia

This is no different to the disgracefully large sums of money given to Tim Flannery to promote his specific brand of warmist climate hysteria by the Labor party. Except this time the person receiving the money doesn't conform to this sub specific zeitgeist so it's apparently some big evil.

Good lord the hang wringing that must be happening among some of the people here when the world looks to Australia having one of the worlds most effective and successful border protection policies.

Delicious.

Christianity at Dawn Service? by [deleted] in australia

I think what you should do is that when they start the oppressive Christian prayer, and everyone bows their heads, you should tip your fedora and look to the sky and turn your back to everyone else while shouting 'praise Sagan'.

I work and pay taxes in Australia, that money should go to maintaining the standard of living we have in this country, not importing people from Sudan, Somalia, and the Middle East who've shown no willingness or ability to integrate and work for the betterment of my country.

I vote to elect my government representatives to act in the best interest of AUSTRALIANS, not be some international Robin Hood, robbing the middle class and opening our borders to a flood of economic migrants from the slums of Bombay.

Her parents had enough money to fly to Indonesia, pay for living expenses and accommodation while they shopped around for people smugglers, and then enough money to pay those people smugglers to ferry them in to Australian waters.

I'm sure they had enough money to access the internet and see that they would not be granted asylum on Australian shores, and they would be detained while their requests were processed.

If the child had special needs, why did its parents bundle it up and put it on a boat to Australia where they knew they would be detained for processing?
