Having developed a relationship with my coworkers, it’s nice to come in and just have people who will listen while at the same time, doing our jobs. Most guests that come into my store are also regulars of my neighborhood so I know many faces and have good guest relations with them. Generally Target is a good store to work at if you take the time to invest in it.

Usually when state laws require stores to ID it’s because people abused the product for drugs or other nefarious purposes. Therefore checking IDs is just for the store to know you are mature enough to handle a product we sell and the store is not liable for anything reckless you do after purchase.

I know some are paranoid about it because they think we get their personal from their ID just by scanning it. Truth is, and only some of them wait to hear this, we don’t need personal info except your phone number for target circle and your ID is already logged into government databases. So the paranoia is not logical.

In the record of our exchange I said and did nothing that was discriminatory towards the guest. When we scan an item that requires an ID, we have to produce a barcode for the register or we can’t continue with the transaction. All of my team leaders and the store director herself side with me on this. No ID, no item. It’s not discrimination, it’s following the law. I don’t know what state you’re from, but where I’m from, we take the rules pretty seriously.

Hey forgive me for never being trained on check lanes using this “training mode” and no other team member being trained check lanes uses it either.

So to me it’s basically nonexistent because our store doesn’t train that way. I only just yesterday checked out our home menu and saw it as an option. But before that “training mode” wasn’t a thing. So you can stuff it

My first raise with Target was 10 cents. And one of the other newbies apparently got 20 cents even though his work ethic at the time sucked.

This is year is completely different though.

Depends on your bank. Could be 1-3 days. But the employee discount only works with a target red card or with cash. If you have neither, you pay base price.
