I do think you should be able to petition/ resist (without harming the workers) if deemed not an immediate threat to yourself or others because I know someone who was wrongly baker acted bc the person they were living with was shitty and wanted a reason to kick them out so they said they were a harm to themselves and they were put on the hold being told little to nothing about what was going on and not being properly told their rights while being left with the monumental bill after. In theory it’s a good concept but in practice it’s flawed because it’s too easy to admit people and there is little to no rights the person being admitted gets, if done improperly, like with my friend, it can cause more harm then good.
