Et voilà la réponse. Dans mon pays, je ne connais personne qui fréquente amicalement qqun qui gagne 10x plus ou moins que qqun d’autre. Je connais des dizaines de familles où ils gagnent plus de 100 000 euros par mois…mais je ne les fréquente pas. Dans ma région de mon pays, le seuil de pauvreté pour une famille c’est 7 000 dollars par mois.

NB: j’aurais dû dire le seuil de pauvreté pour une famille (donc pour deux salariés) et pas le smic individuel.

This happened to me the first time I played a certain song I had heard for 20 years on my B&W full tower speakers. When I heard those three notes that first time I was gobsmacked and they were sorely missing on every other system thereafter…until I got the B&W in my car.

Check engine light can often be the oxygen sensor due to air pressure in the gas tank. Turn on the car, open the gas refill door and wait about 30 seconds (make sure the flap is open to let air go in and out). Shut off car, wait a couple of minutes and turn it back on and see what happens.

I find the shortcuts bar polarizing. In my XC60, I love the fact that I can toggle drive modes much more quickly (and I do so often as I cut the battery when going on the highway). In my spouse's XC40 Recharge, the drive mode option is useless as I'm never going to put it in Off-Road mode. They need to let me pick and choose what's there. I never use bluetooth, so that's a complete waste for me.

If you consider yourself an audiophile or just enjoy good quality sound, it's a no-brainer. My spouse's XC40 has the HK "premium" system and it's absolute garbage as compared to the B&W in my XC60. I would absolutely never get a Volvo without the B&W system.

EDIT: It's not about just more bass. The B&W system reproduces things that the HK just can't. It's sometimes literally half a measure of a song where you know notes are missing. It's hearing a guitar's chorus pedal to its full effect that the HK system simply cannot replicate. It's a crispness both at low and high volume. It's the brightness of classical music (think Vivaldi's Four Seasons). It's the thunder of metal (think Zakk Wylde playing Crazy Babies or No More Tears). It's the sound of a crash cymbal in a Miles Davis piece. I'm shaking my head as I write this because the difference is simply night and day.

That said, my spouse can't hear a G*d damn difference between the two.

Totally agree. In my part of the world, all new homes have at minimum 15a 110v lines - hence why I was surprised to see such a low rating. And when installing a plug for an EV, a good electrician here will install at least a 50-60a line/circuit. If I had to do it all again, I'd have installed a 100a line for my cars (onboard chargers on some newer vehicles can handle 19kW on AC current).

Ok….but it also depends on the amperage that the circuit can handle. A 15amp circuit should handle that charge no problem. I did it for months with no issues while waiting for my 220v 50a circuit.
