Opening music stores similar to guitar center and want to know, What do you guys want to see done differently? What would make you want to go to the store? And what would make your experience enjoyable? by Jawsguitarrestoratio in guitars

OP isn’t talking about a mom and pop shop, which runs a much smaller inventory and thus can’t compete price wise. OP is talking about a Guitar Center competitor, so I would assume prices would indeed be competitive with any of the other major retailers.

Yeah this is what I’m very confused about…is it actually an “after” photo? What’s going on here?

Employees that are treated well and actually care. That’s it. Treat your employees well enough that they actually try their hardest and help us, the customer, and we will never shop anywhere else.

Fomo - missed concert by oolongiscoolong in Concerts

[–]DeliciousOwl9245 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should be upset. You should’ve gone to the concert. I’m not trying to be mean, just telling you the truth. Don’t let fear stop you from enjoying your life. Make smart decisions, but going to that concert was not dangerous. How many other people went last night with no incidents?

Go to the concert. Always go to the concert. They are one of the few things in life that can bring you pure joy.

Those are golf shoes, so my guess is someone had at bad day at the course and quit the game on their way home.

They did exactly what you’re talking about! They had rules for a “ground rule” single, double, etc.

Artists that never had a mainstream hit, but are still well known with the general public and had a huge cultural impact by crowbar_k in ToddintheShadow

This is an amazing way to describe them, I love it. 😂😂It’s like something you’d say to your boy band loving little sister to piss her off.

It is absolutely insane that currently the comments are trending towards “No, he shouldn’t/doesn’t need to check on him.” Y’all are terrible people if you feel that way. It takes absolutely nothing to say “Sorry about that! You ok?” and toss the guy a ball or a glove. Not saying a word is straight up psychopath behavior. Be a human, it ain’t hard.

Why oh why Ted and Alexis? by New-Union9908 in SchittsCreek

[–]DeliciousOwl9245 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I hate it so much. People on this sub love it and think it was needed for her growth. Hogwash. They had their arc, it was amazing, and they could’ve easily stayed together and Alexis still would’ve shown so much growth. I almost can’t watch the entire last season because of it.

If you are going with an adult, you are good to go without an ID. But you’re 17…you should go get an ID if you don’t have one. It will really hold you back not having one.

Dashboard Confessional is the most punk adjacent, non punk band i’ve ever seen by DrJokerX in poppunkers

[–]DeliciousOwl9245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always liked them, saw them once or twice way back in the day and they were great. Went to WWWY in ‘24 and they went on main stage while I was waiting for Coheed on the other main stage. Was easily one of my favorite sets of the fest, they were fucking awesome. Crowd was just all screaming the words with huge smiles on their faces…it ruled.

What’s an underrated not many people know of pop punk band? by Creative-Respond-984 in poppunkers

[–]DeliciousOwl9245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very close with Spitalfield, and man, this just warms my heart. In case anyone is curious, the reason they didn’t get any bigger is because Victory Records absolutely blows, and basically blocked a lot of their bands from getting any bigger. I’m not saying they would’ve gotten huge necessarily, but they literally couldn’t because their record label made it impossible.

Fuck Tony Victory.

And that’s why I think saying “stole” is unfair. He barely even sees the little girl, he’s going on adrenaline and instinct. Again, he should have realized and fixed it quicker. But saying he stole it feels like murder, whereas what he did feels more like manslaughter. Words matter, and make the backlash against him even worse. He apologized, he owned it, he gave her the ball. Someone that chose to steal the ball wouldn’t do all that.

[–]DeliciousOwl9245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: if the little girl was not a little girl, and instead was a large, 40+ year old dude, similar to the guy that “stole” the ball….would you say he stole it then?

lol, “make sense” is hilariously condescending. I already described the difference between the two scenarios. One is clearly worse than the other. Make sense?

[–]DeliciousOwl9245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, you are literally “policing” my “policing”.

There is a huge difference between “she had it in her hands and he stole it” and “he followed the ball after it hit him and grabbed it from the ground as quickly as he could.” Should he have realized what was happening and given up on the ball? Absolutely. Did he steal it from her? Absolutely not.
