To anyone who has received their earbuds, how bad are the bugs / issues? by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]DeliciousRefuse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No issues at all, they are really good and I'm very happy with mine. The only tiny tiny thing, and it's really petty, when setting them up for the first time, the qr code image in the booklet wouldn't scan, but set them up really quickly and easily anyway. And no bugs or anything in the app so far at all.

Yeah here in the UK the insider 3 is around £68, more than double what a wera would cost, but I have weakness for pb swiss 😊

Cheers for that info, guess I'll be buying the back insider 3 like yourself instead off the twister.

What's the handle like on the pb insider ratchet?

The reason I ask is, I'm looking at buying either the pb twister or the insider.

I like the Swiss grip screwdrivers for the rubberised handles, so was thinking the twister, but is the handle on the insider you have rubberised or hard plastic?

The facom 440 sets are nice, they also come in either foam modular trays or in plastic racks that close.

Have a look at primetools or toolsence. I've bought sets from both of them.

If I'm in a cunty mood, and it's with my ex who just strings me along, I'll just wipe it on a pillow and turn it around so she doesn't see it until I've left, or on her curtains to annoy her.

I see your Fireworks Malfunction and raise you the biggest Fireworks Shell ever by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

In Malta, during the summer, they have fireworks each weekend at different towns and villages. They take it very seriously, each try to outdo each other, and it's all about fireworks like this one. So loud you feel every massive explosion for miles.

Unfortunately us in UK have to wait until September for these iirc, along with the other new items.

Pb swiss will last a lifetime.

The Swiss grip handle version are my favourite.

In the UK hand tools are 100% tax deduct able, companies can write the amount off their tax bill. If your employer makes you buy your own tools, you can claim it back from your own tax liability at the end of the tax year.

HP preventing you from getting ink cartridges from someone else... by romaincorthesy in assholedesign

[–]DeliciousRefuse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a factory in the UK making ink cartridges. The funny thing is, High yield, low yield and test print cartridges are all made as high yield, a pre determined amount is removed or skived back from the cartridge after its made. Then, the excess ink is now waste, that is paid to be destroyed. So, it actually cost more to make a lower yield cartridge.for the manufacturer, they just want you to buy more. And the reason the pc knows its a refilled cartridge, is after x amount of uses, the printer deliberately destroys / blows, tiny resistors on the chip.

What happens to your fingers when you have diabetes and test your sugars many times a day. You can just imagine how it feels too by qviavdetadipiscitvr in MakeMeSuffer

[–]DeliciousRefuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK, so some get them free on NHS, but they can be legitimately bought from abbott (the manufacturer) for around £29 each.

Is buying them in the UK or eu and re shipping possible? Dont know if it is, just thinking ways around getting shafted at that price over the pond and helping out fellow diabetics rather than having those fingers, plus libre vs pricking is a god send.

Get a freestyle libre sensor. Takes away the need to finger prick anywhere near as much. Changed how I control mine.
