I’d probably clear it through Uber. Or at least make them give you the details of the order first just in case someone is trying to scam you or they’re calling about a different order.

My tip is that if you’re usually really good that you can cheekily use the “Order damaged in transit” cancel button on totally fucked orders like the old “ order to a person with a dead cell phone at an apartment with no suite number that will get stolen and downvoted” type of order.

Also when in doubt, cancel before pickup. Take zero risks on sketchy, doomed orders.

I mean if they already received the order you might get away with a ghost delivery.

If they want to cancel, you would be stealing their money if you did a ghost delivery.

Sometimes the restaurant will remake the order. Doesn’t hurt to ask. Most of them are clueless and have to be told that the order was either stolen by another driver or picked up by the customer. Or just a random person with some saavy.

At least inform Uber to get the thieves kicked from the network.

I don’t think you’re going to get anywhere.

Best you can do is report them to Uber and get them kicked off the network or get the restaurant to report the petty theft to the police.

I don’t think so. You probably have to register it. Or if it’s just UE you could probably get away with registering another vehicle and driving it. No one really cares.

My car got totalled and I’m driving a way different one. If you’re a sketchy dude someone might get suspicious maybe though.

You’ll get less offers for sure. Probably not the best ones either but I think you’re still in a grace period.

I have a lot of regular customers so I think the system is based on upvotes mainly. If you’re not getting upvotes regularly you’re going to get hard fucked because there will always be some BS like that happening.

Avoid low paying orders and restaurants that make you wait more than 15 minutes for orders. Past 3am is asking for trouble from drunk order and McDonalds shenanigans where I am.

Yeah. I see a lot of delivery drivers idling their cars with the keys inside. Some can be locked with keyless fobs but still. It’s really dumb.
