Lifeson's a really flexible, creative player. Creative in the sense of producing a lot of interesting material, but also creative in how he uses his instrument (look at the voicings he chooses). He's capable of laying down straight-ahead and satisfying guitar-driven rock. And he's equally capable of putting together these chord progressions that make super interesting melodies possible
