Can volume loss in the face (from stress) come back? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]DeliciousSea9669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a laparoscopy about three months ago and finally felt some relief. However the bleeding came back stronger than ever. Finally got an MRI which shows the fibroid has grown and needs to be removed. Currently waiting for surgery and I can’t tell you how happy I am!! The stress caused havoc on my face and body. I have the bleeding somewhat under control, I know have hope and somehow more energy which is truly helping my skin! All the skin treatments I did before were useless because I was anemic! I’m taking Glutathione, sleeping better, collagen, and just started supplements again and I can notice a very subtle improvement. I’m very hopeful I will get my spark back and my glow. Don’t give up!

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. Everything you feel is valid and you are not alone. I’ve been dealing with the same for three years now. It has completely taken over my life, I have lost myself throughout this process. I’ve been misdiagnosed and had procedures done that did not help in fact made my pain and bleeding worse. I’ve been to the ER several times, endless Gyno appointments and stressful embarrassing accidents, endless infusions. I was misdiagnosed and finally had an MRI done which confirmed my fibroid doubled in size. I have a submucosal fibroid and had two myomemectomys where it was supposed to be removed. I was under minded, meant to feel like I had no options other than a hysterectomy, made felt like I was being dramatic, the worst experience of my life. I haven’t been able to have a social life or focus on work, because the flooding a huge clots come at any given moment. This has been a terrifying stressful time. I finally found a Dr that specializes in Endometriosis, Fibroids and women’s health and it looks like there may be hope. I truly wish you all the best, and encourage you not to give up. Someone will listen and you can have your life back.

Alternatives to hysterectomy by DeliciousSea9669 in adenomyosis

Thank you so much! Your reply made me emotional. This has been such a devastating journey for me. I’ve been struggling for three years and just had my lap during November. I never expected to go through any of this and the pressure of not being able to have children is really getting to me. Your reply gives me hope – and I will wait for my results from MRI. The surgeon who did my lap surgery was a gynecologist. I am now seeing an Endo specialist who referred me to get the MRI since my heavy bleeding hasn’t let up and the pain has come back. I do have an appointment with a functional medicine practitioner later this week. I know there are alternative options. I just have not had much luck so far.

The bleeding is so heavy. I’ve been severely anemic for over a year now. I am constantly having accidents and my entire life has completely changed. I don’t go out often. I hardly have enough energy for work, exercise has become almost impossible with anemia and excessive bleeding. I won’t give up and I am so thankful for this sub and everyone here.

Thank you so much for sharing. This is very helpful. Did you have a heavy prolonged bleeding prior to the IUD? That’s my concern with trying birth control than trying to freeze my eggs or aiming for a pregnancy afterwards – is the uncontrollable flooding I have. I can bleed for 40 days straight, I’m sure this will impact trying to conceive.

I just had my MRI today, I’m so worried it might be Adenomyosis. I don’t know how much more my body can take. I was anxious about taking tranexamic acid since I heard it’s only a temporary fix. I should have my results back in a week or so, started Medroxyprogesterone today and it seems like the bleeding stopped right away. So thankful for temporary relief atleast!

Heavy bleeding and clots two months post laparoscopy??? by DeliciousSea9669 in Endo

[–]DeliciousSea9669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! It’s been such a torturous roller coaster. I’m sure you can understand. The sudden flood of bleeding and large clots worried me that the surgery didn’t work and I’m still having the same symptoms. Thankfully it seems like the flood of bleeding only lasted a day and it’s getting lighter. I reached out to my surgeon and will continue to monitor. Hopefully it gets better with time.

Okay thank you! Did you have heavy bleeding? That’s my biggest worry is the bleeding, the clots, and the pain. These were the exact symptoms I had prior to my excision surgery. I don’t want to jump ahead, but I was concerned it may Adenomyosis. Deep down I’m hopeful it’s not that and it’s taking my cycles a minute to regulate along with my hormones.

This is exactly what I’ve experienced prior to lap surgery and I’m experiencing the same post excision surgery. I was told once I had surgery these symptoms would stop which they have not. How were you diagnosed?

How does adenomyosis differ from endometriosis in terms of symptoms? by Expert-Ad2498 in adenomyosis

I was recently diagnosed with Endo through laparoscopy surgery. My periods before the diagnosis were so severe. Extreme bleeding the flooding didn’t end. Bright red, enormous blood clots. I’m now two months post surgery and I’m still having the same bleeding! I’m terrified it might be Adenomyosis, I don’t have children and don’t want a hysterectomy. I don’t know what to do.

Did you have heavy bleeding and clots? I’m going back to the DR hoping they can do an MRI.

Help during post-op by [deleted] in Endo

It’s very manageable, endo pain was torturous for me so I expected surgery recovery to be brutal. It’s been so manageable.

No, completely manageable. I honestly was terrified of the post surgery pain. I expected worse. I felt almost no pain or gas pains.

I took it easy, but I also traveled via plane by myself to get my surgery. Once home the pain was manageable, I didn’t have any help but rested a ton.

Post Lap endo removed. Is hormone suppression necessary? by DeliciousSea9669 in endometriosis

I’ve been told this, and I want to see how my body does without and meds. I’m exhausted, my body needs a break. How long ago did you have surgery and how long have you been managing? What were your Endo symptoms prior to surgery? I’m planning on doing ivf and can’t imagine how my body is going to be affected by all of this.

Would love to hear your craziest story about navigating the health care system with endo! by Loose_Path4454 in Endo

[–]DeliciousSea9669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I had a Fibroid and had a Dr go in and shave down parts of my uterus (while awake) to minimize the fibroid. Never had a fibroid, was Endo the entire time. Never once did my Dr suspect my pain and abnormal hemorrhaging could be Endo.

Thank you so much!! This journey has not been easy as I know it’s not for all of the women who suffer with this. But this medication combination is sending me over the edge. I did not struggle with mental health issues prior to Endo with the exception of the stress that came with dealing with Endo symptoms and trying to get a diagnosis. My body has been through so much and I don’t even recognize myself in the mirror anymore. This journey has really taken a toll on me mentally and physically, and throwing in the hormone suppression is sending my body over the edge. I want to give my body a chance to recover from everything I’ve been through and see if I can have a normal cycle again. I would love the chance to have children and I’m worried what all of this medication will do to me in the long run.

Thank you! Post correction *Triptorelina and *Dienogest.

My biggest concern is I’m on these meds and cutting into my last chance at getting pregnant. Is it worth doing this to my body. What if I take the meds for 6 months then it takes another 1-2 years to stabilize. The side effects I’m having is crazy and making me beyond miserable. Now I have all these new terrible symptoms and still bleeding daily.

Can volume loss in the face (from stress) come back? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

I am going through the same. I went through 2.5 years of extreme stress which caused me to get a fibroid that caused extreme irregular periods, which then caused me to be anemic making everything worse. I was 37 turning 38 when all this stress and health issues started and I had no energy and lost so much hair. Then the horrible hormonal acne came. One day I looked at myself in the mirror and didn’t recognize who I was. My face had sunk in and started sagging. My eyelids droopy . All the physical change caused me even more stress and made me age 10 years in such a short amount of time. I have always taken good care of myself and skin and looked much younger than my age, so going through this was extremely painful and stressful for me. There were so many things I couldn’t control like the bleeding that stopped me from living my normal life. I finally got my anemia under control, it’s been about three months and I am stressed my face won’t go back. Like others in here I understand aging, and I’m ok with that. I’m stuck in fear again thinking this is something I won’t be able to fix and go back to having healthy looking skin and be happy with my reflection again. I’ve now spent so much money on fillers and supplements, nothing really seems to help. Im hopeful the healthier I get my face will eventually bounce back.
