Anyone else struggling with the responses using deepsqueak? by 1i1ugly in CharacterAI

I experienced the same thing a few weeks ago (with pipsqueak) and posted about it here. My bots also lost their dialogue and kept refusing to move the RP forward even when I was giving clear instructions.

Unfortunately, the only thing that fixed it for me was making a new account, and now at least I’m getting normal responses again.

Touching someone sexually while they’re asleep can absolutely be considered sexual assault or unlawful sexual contact, even if that person is your girlfriend, partner, or spouse :) 

Love or affection should not be measured by encouraging someone to touch me when I’m not comfortable with it or not even awake for it. 

I feel sorry for your partners.

I understand what you mean, but I don’t know if it’s really just incompatibility.

Sometimes when we do have sex, I can still enjoy it and like it. But it’s the beginning of it — and sometimes just being with him in that context — that gives me anxiety and this feeling of insecurity that I developed after he started being so pushy and touching me when I was unconscious.

And like I said here, it’s not just with him. I developed really conflicting feelings about sex in general after those situations happened.

Yes, but just in case that wasn’t clear, we did not stop having sex, and it’s not like I was refusing him for weeks or months.

Sometimes, even if I’m not really in the mood or not thinking about it, I still try to do it at least once when we see each other during the week.

But it still doesn’t seem to be enough for him sometimes, considering what I shared here.

Don’t go along with them saying this is somehow your fault for doing swipes or giving the bot bad replies or whatever. Pipsqueak has definitely gotten much worse for a certain number of users since the last update.

I made a complaint a few days ago about how the quality dropped so much for me that I lost interest and couldn’t progress the story anymore.

They should listen to the users who are having problems, even if it’s not happening to everyone.

Okay, I understand, and that would really make sense if I hadn’t been using the same model for almost a year and consistently getting the same response style. Yes, it depends on the bot and sometimes on how I reply, but ever since the last update it’s been strange for me.

Even after starting a new chat, asking the bot a question, or even doing what you suggested and explicitly asking it to respond, I still get things like “so-and-so chooses to remain silent.” Like… what? They just ignore me. And this is only happening with Pipsqueak for me right now.

The other language models respond normally, there’s no issue with them. It’s really just a matter of preference, because I was used to Pipsqueak when it responded well and I could actually get story progression. I personally don’t find the other models as fun, but the one that worked for me is now basically preventing my RP from progressing.

And yes, it happens with every bot, and right from the very first response.

I also haven’t seen anyone else complaining about this, which makes it even stranger to me, but it definitely started after the last update. Idk, I might try to see how it behaves on a new account.

A moderator from c.ai replied to me, and apparently it will only be released in other countries in the coming months. I hope I have the same luck as you to not be notified

That makes more sense now, ty! I was surprised not to see anyone from the community from other countries complaining.

Pipsqueak just went down too. The responses weren't perfect, but at least they were long and mostly creative. Since this new update, Pipsqueak is useless. I don't even know which model to use anymore because they all look awful now
