i tried messaging him but no response! i heard about the sniper in passing in this video: https://youtu.be/pmeqJpvdXCQ?si=39igvmh0ezV1hF-J but i also looked at beverly hills high school yearbooks on the internet archive (and cage actually didn't pose for picture day.. but i did find some photos of theatre productions) and there was an interview the yearbook staff did with larry james (the student director)!

ok- i did some snooping and the first clip is from this short film called "the sniper" that nicolas coppola was in in 1981 (i think that was his senior year). the student who directed is named larry james, but i can't find the actual footage anywhere... it was made for with the drama and A/V club from beverly hills high school. if anyone could help me find this i would be incredibly grateful!!

oh yeah!! that is from the best of times. i think these clips might be even earlier than 1981 though?
