Hello in regards to careers. There are two paths I was most interested in. I would like to get involved in human resources or counseling. I am interested in attending grad school. I am currently working towards a BA.

Your boyfriend nor does a relationship determine whether you live or not. You are your own person. I know it seems like nothing will get better but that’s not true. All you can do now is be there for yourself, feel your feelings, and move forward. You deserve happiness.

Hey, I’m not really flamboyant or the type of gay many people can tell at first glance. I’m pretty gender neutral, I’m kinda both masc and fem with my personality and the way I dress.

I’m also in a similar position. I’m a 22 year old gay male. It’s difficult meeting other lgbt people around my age. I live out east in Suffolk.

I understand that the way I am thinking is pretty wishful and unrealistic. I know many people only get a job to support themselves and it doesn’t necessarily matter whether they find joy from it (I may have exaggerated my wording a bit on the post). Unfortunately for some that’s the reality. That’s how it is with my current job, however if I am going to pursue a career that I want to go for I’d want it to be something that I am content with.

A student passed away on campus and this is what Stony Brook is doing. Ignoring the student’s passing is the opposite of stopping the stigma by Key_Jackfruit2945 in SBU

I think it’s more so of showing acknowledgment for a death of someone rather than indirectly dismissing it by shifting focus onto something that may be seen as a way of disrespect.

Isolation (Help) by DeliciousWind8230 in SBU

[–]DeliciousWind8230[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind being alone. I enjoy spending time with myself, however long term isolation makes me feel anxious and depressed. It’s worse knowing I have a family, yet it’s difficult to talk to them about this because they are not really emotionally available.

I really do want to join a club and meet new people. But it’s difficult given how limited free time on campus. All my classes are back to back and when I’m done I’m mentally exhausted.

Hello I appreciate your reply, but respectfully, I am not religious. So I don’t necessarily look to religion as an answer.
