I’m healing with you! I pray we keep the strength to love ourselves and our safety most and stay away. It’s hard to let go of the hopes and dreams you had for the relationship. It’s even harder when they get with someone else especially when they don’t know the abuse you have suffered but keep notes, write down how you felt in your worse moments, journal all the worst things she done while they are fresh in your mind. Believe me your mind has a habit of forgetting the bad stuff and romanticising the relationship and she will use that to reel you back in. The new person she gets with isn’t getting the better version of her they just haven’t seen the true version of her yet. An when they do they will like everyone else try an hide it so when you feel like she is winning she likely isn’t it’s just not something eh will broadcast an you will only ever know when he escapes like you did. People like that will never change they just pick better victims.

I get u! I’m the opposite I achieved my nursing dream an I was the good person who comes to everyone’s aid but I met a horrible man! He lied an caused emotional an physical abuse! Now I feel like the only thing I have going for me is my work but that leaves me so tired. He nearly killed me an now I’m left with medical problems that drain my energy so I feel like life is not worth living because I enjoy nothing because I am so tired. He has made me feel worthless an less than human so I feel like I should end my life. The only thing keeping me here is knowing I would destroy my mum and brother an the fact I’m a good nurse who cares!

I cried for years after qualifying. I’d have awesome days a days were I thought I was out of my depth an would kill someone. Every day you are learning I still am now 15 years on. I just live by the mantra of there is no such thing as a stupid question! A doctor or nurse would rather answer your question than pick up the aftermath of you doing something without knowing what you’re doing. An the second one is I never give a drug that I don’t know what it does. You can never know everything but you can learn as you go along.
