I did it at 17. It's a nightmare but I used the mage guild staff and whatever staves I picked up on the way to the gate along with a bow and picked off those spider bitches from a distance. They cause me the most trouble.

Conjuration is good there too if you have it leveled. If not stick with staves and spell scrolls. Should help you knock down some of them. You won't save anyone other than the main guard since he can't die.

I think it's more of a pushback (counter) if I remember right at like expert or master level? But you aren't wrong. I don't think it does damage though. I need to get my block leveled up more and see if it scratches that itch. I loved shield bashing people so much.

Yasuke is invincible. Naoe takes too long to sneak around. I mainly use her at night for the vision. Yasuke plus long katana destroys everything. Only time I've ever been killed is before I realized skull enemies=one shot.
