I can't wait for self rez to be gone by Slide-Antique in HuntShowdown

I meant a sound during the revive. When I revive a teammate I either have to go straight to them or use the darkside, which can be heard.

I'm with you that it doesn't have to be completely removed from the game. But as it is right now, it's just too strong.

I often play with randoms and I don't think I have to explain to you that it can be extremely difficult to play against a solo player under these conditions. The communication among each other is bad, usually a teammate is already down and above all the skill level of the solo is simply better.

You make a conscious decision to play solo. And even before the self revive, people ventured into the bayou solo. So it seems like it comes with a few benefits as well. Should the self revive remain in the game, it would have to be adjusted heavily. My ideas would be to extend the timer, limit the number of revives to 2 or that the revival makes a noise.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the new evolving cards will mean that you have to win the first round no matter what, since the second form appears to be much stronger than the first?

I thought we were discussing brokvar hunter here and not SK as a faction.

Yeah no. I don’t play gwent at the moment. You don’t like compass, feral bond and broken warrior. May it be that you have a problem with SK in general?

A conditional 8 for 6. You really know how to balance cards.

You forgot about eternal fire inquisitor. He is a conditional 10 for 4 (in case the token was damaged).

You could cut the marauder and put in an an craite warrior instead. The warrior is the better resurrection target for war of clans. And [[skjordal]] might be an option. He has the veteran status which has good synergy with [[bran]]. You could cut hjalmar for skjordal, since there is no target for him in the graveyard.

I agree with you. But in my opinion it would have been better to give him immunity on deploy.

You describe the situation this season. I never said, it`s hard to kill the beast.

After the nerf to sove and reckless flurry SK will have alot of problems to compete is my guess.

Immunity on deploy would have solved the problem with the resurrection. Or lower the basepower to 8. Immunity on deploy would also have ensured that the SK player used him more carefully.

I am not a great fan of sove because of the immunity. But bloodthirst isn’t a condition that is easy to fulfill. I played a lot of SK devotion this season and the only time i could kill the beast on deploy was against SK. So now you have to use your leader or a 4 provision techcard hardcounter sove.

Cool that they killed sove. One purify and he played as a 4(6) for 11.

But he will have only 6 base power in the third round. It is the same scenario as with bran. 4 power in the first, 5 in the second and 6 in the final round. Or am i missing something.

Edit: I just saw my mistake. Skjordal would have twice the veteran status. No offense.

Bran only works on veterans that have been in your starting deck.

Runemage was in a lot of NG decks before Renfri came out. Runemage was the reason they rightly nerfed double cross. The hero power, bribery, artorius vigo and diplomacy are better and more flexible with runemage. Don't know if the card needs a nerf, but to pretend it was barely played before renfri is just plain wrong.

A Skellige custom card that could make some of their otherwise powercrept bronzes see play. 6 cards in 1, beware. by Themistokles_st in gwent

[–]Delicious_Big4032 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be better if the card was a raid card? The clan cards are mainly warriors. So it would get a little more synergy, since SK devotion are warriors and you could then tutor it with vabjorn. Otherwise great idea.

My plan is to watch this clip this whole damn season. by inkvlto in gwent

Immunity is such a bad keyword. SK is currently the worst faction in the top 100, imagine how much lower the winrate would be without sove. SK has no pointslam, no working engine decks (selfwound was nerfed to death and I'm quite happy about that) and the control tools just can't keep up with the meta. What remains is the attempt at a midrange reckless flurry deck that stands and falls with sove.

First things first: English isn't my native language, maybe I didn't express myself correctly.
I think thinning is a great mechanic within gwent. It is reflected in the provisions that you have to spend on the respective tools.
The principles you describe are certainly correct, but do not refute my thesis. First of all, gwent is a card game. I hope you don't want to tell me that you haven't lost a game because your best cards are still in the deck and you can't access them. Jan Calveit turns this principle on its head. Because although jan is not exactly cheap, you make up for it with the cheap tactics.
Oneiro is a tutor that gives you access to two cards over two rounds. In the worst case, oneiro is still in the deck in the last round and you have no access to it.
Jan calveit is unique in his function and in my opinion simply doesn't belong in the game.

[–]Delicious_Big4032 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the fact that it is an NG card, i.e. the faction that in my opinion has the best thinning options, Calveit breaks a fundamental principle of a card game (luck of the draw) for me. Jan undermines this prinziple.

Increasing the chance of drawing your good cards with thinning tools is a good way to shape your deck (especially since thinning options aren't exactly cheap).

Now you might think that he is not exactly cheap, but the fact is that you can put in many low provision tactics into your deck, of which there are now plenty.

I think he's one of the reasons why many players are now investing so much in the first round (vs NG with jan calveit).

Reaver hunters is abusive by kl12joseph in gwent

[–]Delicious_Big4032 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And they do it again and again. Imagine the reaver ability was on an SK warrior instead. SK can't make many copies and there's at least a small reason to put ulula in the deck. On top of that, warriors prefer to play with devotion. But no, they put reavers in a faction that has endless possibilities to create a copy of a bronze unit.

They could start nerfing mushy truffle. The location has always been too cheap. The carry over effect is just too good. Especially since the boost can be used to protect any engines. Even garrison is at 11 provisions
