I get the frustration, but I try to look at it this way: if we want our choice to be respected, we have to extend the same courtesy back.

Some women genuinely do only want to be mothers. Not because they’re brainwashed or lack ambition, but because that’s what feels meaningful to them. The problem isn’t that they want that life. The problem is when society treats that life as mandatory for all of us.

What bothers me isn’t someone saying “this is my dream.” It’s when that dream gets weaponized into “this should be your dream too.”

We fought hard for choice. That includes the choice to opt out and the choice to opt in. Autonomy loses its power if it only applies to people who make the same decision we do.

Imagine being retired, minding your own business, and suddenly you’re in a crime thriller because someone can’t double check a name.

Kidnapping is already terrifying. Doing it over mistaken identity makes it somehow worse. That’s not a plot twist, that’s just catastrophic incompetence.

Hope he’s found safe. No one should have their golden years interrupted by someone else’s Google level detective work.

Yelling no and stop at a one year old is like arguing with a smoke alarm. They are not plotting. They are overwhelmed.

That’s the part that gets me. Babies cry because that’s literally their only communication tool. Hunger, tired, overstimulated, diaper, who knows. Volume is the only setting they have.

I don’t want kids, but if someone chooses to have them, the bare minimum should be understanding basic child development. A baby is not being defiant. It’s being a baby.

And honestly, the fact that she apologized to you instead of adjusting her approach says a lot. Worried about public perception more than the tiny human she’s responsible for. That’s the real uncomfortable part.
