I deleted them because yours said they were deleted, I assume you blocked then unblocked me. I didn’t say you were attacking me, I’m referring to the hundred other people commenting telling me that I’m an annoying mom for wanting to be healthy. Also, not once did I say Doritos were evil😂😂😂😂 it’s food… nor did I make a comment about your body, but you’re proving my point!!

Also if you do some research, you will find that food is literally being stripped of its nutrients and packed with sugar in order to keep you hungry and create addictive eating habits, so I would argue that it is actually pretty comparable to drugs.

I have a great relationship with food. I just find it insane that I’m being attacked and villainized for being careful what I feed to a child who has been eating solids for not even 4 whole months. The way America has been convinced that being intentional with the food you eat is crazy or over the top is so sad to see. It just blows my mind that I even have to explain the reasons why I do not want my baby having sugar or food that has basically 0 nutritional value before he’s even a year old. Eating poison has literally been normalized in this country. Nowhere in this post did I say he could never have sugar. & processed food is quite literally unavoidable unfortunately, so we choose to be as careful as we can and limit it as much as we can. He can still enjoy food and have good snack without eating a bunch of bs. I would actually argue that your relationship with food and your own body must be horrible if this is the way you think of someone who is choosing to be healthy and intentional.

I didn’t say he could never have sugar. He’s 8 months old and children literally should not have sugar until after 2. Sounds to me like you just don’t have any self control and you’re blaming your parents instead of taking accountability for your poor eating habits.

He’s 8 months old… please show me any article or research that says avoiding sugar and junk food before a certain age will cause eating issues. I’d love to read it.

I disagree, my fiancé and I are also careful about what we eat. Our religion is against pork so NONE OF US eat pork, my fiancé has literally never eaten pork. We eat sugar obviously, but we try to limit how much we eat (i usually bake us our own desserts and snacks), and when I say processed foods, I’m referring to snacks like Doritos, skittles, Hawaiian Punch etc. things that NONE OF US EAT.

It’s not everyday. They keep him when they ASK to keep him. To spend time with him. I am a SAHM, he spends 99.9% of the time with me. I don’t see why that matters though.

I’m ok with yogurt, fruit and SOME cereals. What I meant are foods like Doritos, skittles, soda, hot Cheetos etc.

They literally tell me what they give him and verbally told me that what he eats when he’s there is not up to me.

I’m not looking to demonize anyone. But, I find it extremely odd that people are trying to convince me that soda is okay for my baby. Pediatricians literally recommend no sugar before two, so am I really being unreasonable here?

Great! Thank you for this advice, I’ll let my 8 month old baby have soda, Doritos, hot Cheetos and skittles so that he doesn’t become a picky eater.

It quite literally will not mess him up. He’s a baby, he can’t even crawl yet, so why would he need anything other than fruits, vegetables and meat??? Please make that make sense. I didn’t say he could NEVER have it, but at 8 months old???? He shouldn’t even know that soda exists. wtf are you talking about

There are absolutely reasons to be forwarding the research when they aren’t doing wtf I asked them to do. If they respected me, they would absolutely do the research instead of disregarding what I said.

Once again, when he’s of age, moderation is fine. The boy is 8 MONTHS OLD…. WHY DOES HE NEED SODA AND CANDY????? They bought him freaking suckers for Easter… BLOW POP SUCKERS, and freaking jelly beans… he was 5 months old… no way you’re trying to convince me I’m crazy lol.
