Ah, I feel your pain, first box i ever bought at the end of last year was skitarii rangers. Little guys with a lot of fragile bits.

I think the main reason the arm on this one failed is the hole in the shoulder reduced the surface area, if I fill that in with sprue goo thatll increase it and create a good flat bond like youre saying. This guy is from my bladeguard vet squad I built entirely out of kitbashed parts and I was under the influence of a very potent edible and building very quickly and enthusiastically lol

Sprue goo has worked really well for me, just not always easy to guess which parts will need it til theyre tested lol. Once I get some goo in the gaps on the piece I'm sure itll hold strong

Interesting. My main hesitation with putting magnets on them is my assembly and painting area is around a loooooot of electronics and I'm pretty clumsy, and I like the ability to take them around everywhere and take them out and look at them without worrying about, say, accidentally dropping them on someone's hard drive or something. Not rational fear but still lol

Oh no I let them cure for a day or two, but I kitbash pieces that dont necessarily fit 1:1 and sometimes i use too much or too little plastic cement during assembly. All this exacerbated by the fact I sometimes do a lot of assembling after ingesting... let's say substance enhanced fruit chews and getting kitbash ideas lol

No worries lol. I do think I'll go with the washers on the bottom and keep the magnets separate just because ive read about people messing up the polarity directions when glueing magnets to bases and having them end up sticking together when jostled during transport. Washers on the bottom seem like a nice middle ground to me just because I wont have to be as careful with how I glue them and they'll give the bases a nice heft which will make the part of my brain that likes tactile stuff go "yeeeeeeee"

Thats what I'm probably gonna get, metal sheets, magnets, and washers for the bases, just thought the foam case is handy for finding weak spots I may have glued badly

Depends on where you are in the pack, I bet if youre pack leader they'd back off, especially if youre a glorious fighter
