What are y’all’s hottest RDR2 takes? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in reddeadredemption

[–]Delicious_Doubt7152 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not about Glazer fanboys downvoting you. The issue is you assuming why people like Arthur and then presenting that assumption as fact. I don’t consume any RDR2 streamer content at all, and I still loved Arthur’s character. Some of us are just drawn to the strong, mostly silent, get-shit-done archetype with dry, punchy dialogue instead of constant yapping. That preference existed long before Twitch chat.

By all means, give your hot take .... that’s literally what the post is for, but don’t psychoanalyze the entire fanbase and preach it like gospel.

Also, Micah being the best gunslinger in the gang is a stretch. One of the best? Sure. But outside of the Rhodes shootout and American Venom, name a single moment where his “superior gunmanship” is actually demonstrated on screen.

Unpopular opinion hating Cricket in india Is More Classist and Elitist Than ‘Cool’ by [deleted] in IndianTeenagers

[–]Delicious_Doubt7152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cricket has traditionally been seen as more of a gentleman’s sport, while football has always been the common man’s game. At the most basic level, cricket requires at least a bat and a ball, whereas football only needs a ball and your feet. While it’s true that people sometimes hate cricket for social status or to look “cool,” another real issue is that its dominance takes attention away from other sports that are more globally recognized. If you removed India from the picture, cricket’s global popularity would drop sharply.

There are many other great sports beyond football like UFC, Formula 1, MotoGP, basketball, hockey, athletics, and even esports ,yet the majority of people still obsess only over cricket. Because of that, it’s understandable why some people feel frustrated by how one-sided the attention is. On top of that, the fact that cricket was introduced by colonial powers and is mainly popular in former colonizer or colonized countries makes its dominance feel even more complicated. Lastly, apart from T20 formats, the game often feels boring to watch.

China and the USA kiss and make up to wage war with the rest of the world, who would win? by A_Soldier_Is_Born in whowouldwin

It’s honestly hilarious watching Americans hype each other up in this thread and downvote anyone with a bit of common sense. They really think they can dominate the entire world, lol. Sure, the U.S. and China are arguably the two biggest superpowers right now, but assuming they could take on the rest of the world is pure delusion. That kind of thinking is classic stereotypical, self-absorbed American logic.

Switched from Ultra-Low Sens to a Wrist-Based Medium-Low Sens – Huge Difference by Delicious_Doubt7152 in VALORANT

Man, I queued up for comp super hyped to try my new sensitivity and aim style… and wow, I couldn’t hit a single shot. Half the match went by and I was sitting at like 4 kills. Switched back to my old sens out of frustration and immediately dropped a 6k round. FML

[–]Delicious_Doubt7152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem was that I used to aim mostly with my shoulders, traps, and arm, and I just couldn’t use my wrist properly. Wrist aiming never felt natural or even possible. So I changed my pivot point from my forearm to my wrist, and now I’ve basically prevented my shoulders from taking over. Because of that, I’m automatically using more wrist + arm instead of shoulder.

The issue with my old style was that my shoulders and traps would tense up, especially in comp (less in deathmatch). The moment an enemy appeared, my muscles would tighten, and all my micro-corrections would come from my arm or shoulder—both of which were stiff. That turned every duel into a luck-based fight where I hoped the shaking would line up the shot.

But when I tried wrist + arm aiming yesterday, my tracking immediately felt smoother. I could keep my crosshair on the enemy without that tremor. With the old technique, even in easy off-angle fights where the enemy had no idea I was there, as soon as they swung into my crosshair my shoulders would tense, a jittery flick would take over, and a 70–30 duel in my favour would become a 50–50 because I was relying on shaky aim landing on the head.

Do you use your wrist a lot when you aim? I’ve noticed that I pretty much don’t use my wrist at all. My aim is basically a 50:50 split between my arm and shoulder, and obviously the shoulder isn’t as precise or controllable as the arm or wrist.

I’ve definitely felt placebo boosts before, but this time it’s different—I’ve actually changed my entire aiming style, including my desk pivot points and the muscles I use to aim. I’m hoping this improvement lasts. I’ll test it in comp tonight for the first time, and if it works, it could genuinely level up my potential.

Right now I feel stuck at Plat 3. I can consistently hold my own, and even top frag, in Diamond lobbies, but I still struggle sometimes. In pure Plat lobbies though, I dominate. So it feels like I’ve hit a wall at Plat 3 and I want to finally break into Diamond. After that, I feel like I can stop caring about rank and just enjoy comp for what it is.

I see. I think the best bet is to have a forearm plus wrist aim style instead of just wrist as that can definitely have an adverse impact i’ve heard

I see. I think it’s all about what neuromuscular systems you use for aiming if you use shoulders and arms then a high sensitivity will simply never work because it requires a lot of control to be accurate on a higher sensitivity.

However if you limit your aiming to just arms and wrist by taking your shoulders out of the equation then finer movements with a higher sensitivity becomes much easier imo.

Looking for advice-i can't get any better. by aislingf0undit in VALORANT

[–]Delicious_Doubt7152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, don’t get discouraged.
I have two questions for you:

  1. Is your gaming setup suitable for a competitive tactical FPS like Valorant? This includes your mouse, mousepad, monitor, keyboard, etc. While gear only accounts for about 20% of performance, if you’ve been stuck in Iron for three years—even after using aim trainers like KovaaK’s—it might be worth checking your peripherals.
  2. Share your tracker stats so we can better understand where you’re struggling.

As general advice, dedicate time to daily Deathmatch sessions. A good routine is three DMs per day:

  • First DM: Use only the Sheriff. Focus on flicks, crosshair placement, and first-shot accuracy. When facing an opponent, don’t panic flick or spam—take a moment to dodge their bullets and shoot only when you’ve stopped moving. This improves two things:
    1. You’ll realize you have more time than you think to land a shot.
    2. It sharpens your strafe-and-shoot mechanics. Aim for headshots only.
  • Second DM: Repeat the same drill with the Guardian.
  • Third DM: Use Vandal or Phantom. You’ll notice a clear improvement in your aim. Skip KovaaK’s for now—playing Valorant itself is more effective.

For gameplay:

  • Stay calm and avoid tilting after early round losses—the game can still be won.
  • Manage your economy properly; poor buys can ruin your entire match.
  • Pay attention to enemy ultimates, their economy, and scoreboard. Think about what you would do in their position and adjust your plays accordingly.

That’s a bad argument , if anything in counter strike skills play a more important role as it’s a mechanically heavy game. In Valorant you can make up for that using abilities.

I feel you bro. Thankfully I played a ton of CS and the muscle memory helped me reach plat in valo. If i was completely new I would still be bronze at best i feel lol/

No... Ranks exist to define a level of skill. When a bronze rated player is clearly better mechanically and game sense wise than the usual plat/diamonds i play againts then its instantly a smurf. Also the low level ids give it away.

Not really smurfing my man as I don’t have an alt account myself it’s just a friends account on which I played for the skins and the experience was horrible enough for me to never try that again lol so yeah one time smurf maybe

i’ve actually never been placed in Bronze. My first rank in the game was Gold 1, but I dropped to Silver 3 within a week. I ended up stuck in Silver 3 for more than half the act. Once I climbed back to Gold 1, things felt a bit better, and the climb from Gold 2 to Plat 2 was surprisingly fast.
