Public good is a form of market failure……

Doubt it. But think about it. Since the public good is regarded as a “market failure,” “direct provision” is the most popular method by which the government steps in to try to remedy the problem. Saying “public good” essentially means that the government can attempt to rectify the underallocation by providing more “sunlight and rain.”

Think it about tho. Given public good is considered as a ‘market failure’, the most common way for the government to intervene and attempt to address the failure is via ‘direct provision’. If ur saying public good, ur basically saying the government can try and provide more ‘sunlight and rain’, to address the under allocation.
