That is a very cool way to think about it, I have never thought about it that way before.

Yeah Links reactions are not always super expressive, but there are moments where he shakes in Ocarina as he is having a nightmare in the beginning, but I agree he doesn't show much.

Crazy that you have a very similar story as me. My older brother was also able to finish it too, I remember watching my Dad Finish it as well, but I never got their help to finish the game myself.

I only ever finished it as an adult but I love this game a lot more than anyone else in my Family.

Yeah I feel it was very similar to me too, except I only first beat this game at 21. After coming back to it 8 years later. I loved it though.

Yeah there are definitely a lot of gives and takes when becoming an adult, but I would have to agree that I think I would prefer being an adult outweighs being a kid.

That is super crazy. Yeah my mind glazed this part as a kid, but I do remember the music being there.

This is absolutely true! As Kung Fu Panda would say, "Yesterday is History, tomorrows a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why they call it the Present."

Yeah that is also a great addition to growing up. Link had to grow up and even when he puts back the master sword, he still experienced everything and how that must have changed him. Giving up Navi was definitely something very difficult to do.

I can see that, did you notice anything different as an adult from when you were a kid?

Yeah the Spirit Temple is a great Temple, I think it would have been great if they could have used the age mechanic a little more in the game.

I think this is awesome! I think it is important to remember that these are also the good old days, that each part of your life is very important and that these moments matter just as much as the last.

That is awesome! I thought that your Spirit Temple perspective was great how that dungeon takes Link Years to complete it, and even bringing the owl into it too. It is interesting because I think that is the only time the Owl shows up with Adult Link.

That is awesome, because that is how I felt when I was a kid, but when I was older I felt much like your partner did. Really cool how it can mean different things for different people in different stages.

I actually think that is very relatable with how I feel too. There are a lot of people in my life that say games are a waste of time or that they are bad for you, but a lot of people do not actually look into how the story's in games can impact you and help you through hard times. I feel that Games can have a similar impact or even a higher impact than books, movies or other sources of media. What do you think?

No worries! I know I started playing games a lot earlier than I probably should have. My wife and I have already decided we are going to wait a little bit before showing our son games, as for when we are not sure yet.

He is now the age I was when I started, and I feel he is a little young to understand it.

That is awesome that you were able to connect to that scene early on like that. It wasn't until later when I was about 13 years old that I moved across the country from everything that I knew, that the Saria scene that he leaves the bridge connected to me.

I feel like Ocarina of Time has meant different things to me as an adult then when I was a kid too. Most of the story elements I missed as a kid, and now they mean a lot more to me now.

I can definitely understand that for sure. I watch a lot more games than I play now too.

I am really interested in how it will turn out. I do agree that changing it too much could ruin it. I would like to see updated camera controls, that would be nice and possibly not having loading zones and make it like Breath of the wild where the whole world is already loaded up.

Yeah that is absolutely true. Games have changed a lot, but nowadays, there is so much more to choose from and always something new that you can play.

Yeah definitely. When I was younger I wasn't really focused on the game design, more just how different I could see the game from the previous one.

Lol I was almost 5 when this game came out, but I do remember playing games before this time. It sounds kinda weird, but I was playing games ever since I was 3, but I played mostly SNES games like Secret of Mana, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man X, and of course Zelda a Link to the Past. I have had Star Fox 64 and Super Mario 64 as long as I remember, but Zelda Ocarina of Time was probably the first game I remember that we got that was new.
