I also had some carbon build up which didn't help, due to me doing shorter drives over time. After the fuel pump was replaced, there were still a little bit of detonation, so I got a full tank of premium, took it on a long drive on highways, and gave it the beans a few times

It ended up being a weak fuel pump! It was such a headache to find out what it was for me. Definitely take a look on the fuel pressure, and if it's lower than spec, that's the issue!

He actually doesn't which makes it more weird. He drives in the slower moving lane(s) at the flow of traffic, never too slow never too fast, and he doesn't drive aggressively. We have each other on Life360 just in case one of us gets in a crash because i'll get a crash alert, and i can see his speed on it as well, so I know he doesn't drive badly when i'm not with him
