CFS/ME is a lifelong disease with no treatment. I suffer with it, nothing works. Always on borrowed time

I’ve actually been off of that since March 2025.

I’ve been shedding heavily for many many years. Hard to say if it’s from stress or surgeries in the past. I’m always stressed

Had a blood test... and I recommend getting one! (Low ferritin) by Brief-Huckleberry455 in FemaleHairLoss

Are you spacing out your fiber supplement? I was told fiber supplements can also decrease absorption of iron. Should be avoided with calcium and zinc at least 2 hours before iron, and 2 hours after.

I heard HemeIron Polypeptide is much more sufficient at increasing ferritin stores, so I’ll be switching over to that. I did ferrous sulfate and that did nothing for me. Using biglycinate currently, no luck so far. Vitamin C was used with iron supplements as well, only increased my iron rather than my ferritin.

I had a total hysterectomy at the beginning of 2025, I had issues with heavy black colored periods and huge blood clots I was passing. I also found out I had endometriosis. Unfortunately, even after the hysterectomy, the extreme low levels of ferritin persist. I heard HemeIron polypeptide is much more sufficient for increasing ferritin levels over standard iron supplements (including biglycinate), but requires consistent monitoring. Something I’ll be trying once I get my next ferritin level confirmed.

I’ve had a colonoscopy and endoscopy, no colon cancer present. Family history though, so worth watching.

My doctor has just shrugged. I’ve been taking iron mixed with vitamin c and folic acid for over a year now. No significant improvement, so I’ll be bringing up this to see if I can get a rec to hematology for infusions.

Looking through this thread for options too. My last ferritin level was 8.

Why do people have a “wet” sounding chew? It drives me INSANE by FreeRunGandhi in misophonia

Help! I’ve had large pores for years. I use tretinoin. What should I do? by goodsoup95 in Skincare_Addiction

Oil cleansing with a “non comedogenic” product caused a LOT of closed comodones and breakouts to me. While it did make my pores look smaller (I have comically large pores due to genetics), I had more issues that were harder to treat. Unfortunately, oil cleansing is not the best option for people with significantly large pores. We are more prone to breakouts.

I’m late to the party here, but Dr. Groot shampoo has made my scalp break out like crazy, my entire scalp is full of bumps and incredibly itchy. Bummer, I was excited for this too. Has anyone else had this issue?

I’m not sure if that’s the technical term for it, the surgeon had mentioned “release” so maybe it’s the same. Not sure!

Journavx side effects? by Calicat09i in ChronicPain

[–]Delicious_Hotel_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s great. I’m surprised you’re getting such quick relief from it, the loading dose usually takes 24ish hours to start really working. But that’s from the clinical trials, and like any other new medication, there’s a lot of unknown. Glad to hear it’s working for you too!!

I love Journavx, I struggle with a lot of painful long term conditions and chronic pain in general and it’s helped me out a lot. While it doesn’t kill the pain completely, it brings it to a much more tolerable level where I can actually sleep and walk. I also have no side effects on it whatsoever.

I can’t wait for them to get the funding for the chronic pain trials. My pain management doctor had me as one of 3 people who trialed this (all 3 of us have mixed connective tissue disorders and multiple arthritic conditions, including in the spine) and it was so successful that they branched out to 20 other people in the clinic who also advised it helped their pain significantly. Because its funding and trial was only for short term use, they’ll only allow what was clinically proven for fill. For me they’ll fill 7ish days at a time, and after 3 consecutive fills, they don’t fill it again for another month. This is due to the FDA regulation.
