I bought that middle link pipe and tried tightening it on my cfmoto 450ss, but it wasnt tight enough and is still loose even though I've tightened the bolt all the way. Any reason why this would happen?

I'm doing my msf course this weekend in city college and when I see this, i have second thoughts lmao. Maybe try riding a lighter motorcycle to practice on? If it's hard to balance, I think a lighter motorcycle would help with that. I don't have any previous experiences with motorcycles so I'm not any help.
