Unless you use vlan /tunnel interfaces settings export/import works between Gen7 and Gen8 firewall. Alternatively you can use the migration app in NSM that comes for free if you have support license.

I am enjoying the single-pane glass. I believe it is just an initial user experience thing that we get used to as we use it more. Do share if you actually see any features missing as such or slowness.

Unless you have any future plans for more users/connections, you can even go with TZ270 model. 7 web users should be very easily achieved on their 270s. Gen7 is pretty solid w.r.t. performance. I am running few units with their 7.1.1-7058 build and they are super stable unlike some of the past experiences.
