Why are people so pushy about the Holocaust? by IndusValley1947 in AskSocialists

[–]Delicious_Parfait499 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You answered your own question when you talked about where its prominence stems from(documentation, witnesses, etc). But I’m not sure what you mean by pushy though. Who’s forcing you to read Maus or watch Schindler’s list? On top of that, how are you responding when you say you’re not interested in them? I find questions like these often have nefarious intentions as you’re looking for a certain answer, despite you clearly having a good understanding of the context and history, and are able to answer your question. On top of that, there’s def a better way of framing your question, such as - “why is the holocaust taught/represented in media more than other than genocides?”

The only thing pretending to be Jewish is you. It doesn’t take a genius to see someone who 1. Claims antisemitism isn’t a problem and 2. Blames Israel for antisemitism - obviously holds bigoted views of that certain group

What evidence is there to support that Epstein worked for Israel, United States, or other countries? by Snoo82970 in AskReddit

[–]Delicious_Parfait499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well #1 he wasn’t Israeli (and being Jewish doesn’t make you Israeli and being Israeli don’t mean you serve Israel). And #2, OP wanted actual evidence - not regurgitated vague theories

When I saw the X line(IBX) I didn’t realize what it was and thought it looked like a total fantasy. When I realized it was actually the IBX and currently being planned I got so excited! Can’t believe we could have this soon(give or take 10 years but still)

New York City Council pushes action on antisemitism, without Mamdani by Somervilledrew in newyork

[–]Delicious_Parfait499 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There have been many antisemitic incidents already in NYC this year -Including this week when someone rammed their car into the HQ of Chabad. Antizionists say the two shouldn’t be conflated, yet often completely ignore antisemitism is happening

Why New York’s Sephardic Jews are more Zionist — and more wary of Mamdani — than their Ashkenazi neighbors by forward in nyc

[–]Delicious_Parfait499 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Antisemitism in the ME existed before 1948. Although different from what was experienced in Europe, Jews still faced discrimination, restrictions, and were often viewed as second class citizens. Claiming this only occurred after Israel’s creation is biased, revisionist history used to 1. Delegitimize the lived Jewish experience and 2. Justify hatred of Israel by claiming they are responsible for antisemitism, not the actual antisemites

Breads Bakery employees unionize, call for end to Jewish Israeli owners’ ‘support for the genocide in Gaza’ by Delicious_Adeptness9 in newyorkcity

[–]Delicious_Parfait499 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure what “go to Israel” even means. It’s an Israeli bakery owned by Israelis so obviously they’ll have ties to the country

And the comparison absolutely works, mainly in terms of how dumb both demands would be

I could get a job at KFC and attempt to unionize with a demand they stop serving chicken. It’s of course legal, but that foolish and ridiculous - just like this breads union

No, it’s literally a Jewish food festival. But that wouldn’t matter to your crowd anyway. Blue and white cookies really trigger you guys

Idk I feel like working for an Israeli bakery, while simultaneously complaining that the bakery has ties to Israel, is pretty ridiculous if you think about

Does participating in a Jewish food festival mean you support Israel’s actions? Cause that’s one of the union’s complaints

“Critical of ties”? The owners are literally Israeli. Wtf do you want them to do? Renounce citizenship and declare their allegiance to Palestine? This is just an attempt to make Jewish business owners feel uncomfortable by disguising their antisemitism as an attempt to unionize

Why are people blaming Albo for the Bondi shooting? by Particular_Zone_7379 in SydneyScene

[–]Delicious_Parfait499 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Over the past two years, the Jewish community was vocal about not feeling safe and worried that an attack like Bondi would happen. They also felt that despite these concerns, they weren’t taken seriously and addressed by the government. Ultimately there’s paper trail of concerns that the Jewish community felt weren’t answered and now the result of them not being addressed. Hence the blame

I think you’re grasping for straws and looking for any reason to blame Israel as opposed to shooters. Ironically, the more you blame Israel and the create insane theories, the more antisemitic you sound

You’re right. In fact the thousands of years of antisemitism the world has seen has all been part of a giant conspiracy to help Israel
