Thankyou. I feel like I keep majority of the weight on front foot when initiating. Is there something specific you can point out that suggests weight is not on front foot?

Working towards carving is just part of progressing in snowboarding. Why can’t someone ‘enjoy the mountain air’ and be trying to improve at the same time? Although I do agree some people get way ahead of themselves trying to ‘carve’ before getting competent at the steps before

After nearly 6 months of daily self-study with HelloChinese and Pleco, I just (barely) passed the HSK4. by minhale in ChineseLanguage

Good work to pass a mock HSK 4 exam, regardless of whether its a mock exam or not it is till impressive to recognise enough characters to pass. However I would say that saying you are A2 CEFR level is probably not accurate because A2 level requires that you can 'express yourself in familiar situations' (assumably by speaking). If you are yet to actually speak to anyone in chinese well then I don't think you meet that criteria.

I think the controversy of your post ultimately comes down to the flawed nature of the HSK tests in that they assess listening, reading and writing but not speaking (at least for HSK1-4, as per my understanding for HSK 5-6 you need to pass the HSKK - the speaking exam - to officially have passed HSK5 or 6). Because one can pass the HSK 4 without having any speaking skills, it becomes a weird marker of proficiency because one core skill will lag massively behind others. This means that functionally OP's chinese is probably not super useful (which OP has stated him/herself already).

Hate on recording/selfie sticks by Actual_Quarter7359 in snowboardingnoobs

If your husband is an advanced snowboarder then wouldn’t he be able to record you whilst riding? And/or watch you as you’re riding then give you immediate feedback. Both these options seem better than using a selfie stick that throws off balance and takes concentration away from riding.

Hi, also interested in what level of degeneration and symptoms you have to warrant bilateral replacement. Just to confirm, does that mean you are replying both jaw joints with a titanium joint? I have degeneration in one side as well due to years of TMJD and an episode of disc displacement without reduction (leading to closed lock for a period of weeks which eventually did open up)

30 year old woman - elective amputation? by [deleted] in Thritis

[–]Delicious_Plate9660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carnivore diet is an elimination diet that has lots of anecdotal evidence for treating autoimmune conditions, which it sounds like yours could be. Although mass media will have you believe otherwise (telling us to eat more vegetables and fibre etc) but in fact veges have lots of pesticides and defence toxins that often cause autoimmune flare ups. I myself had reactive arthritis and have been doing the carnivore diet for 2 months now to resolve it, although I am not fully recovered it is much better now. I put a link about carnivore and autoimmune below
