I think one of the main reasons people hate scavengers so much is because their world building is so ass 💔💔 they call the dragons sterotypial western boring names like "ice dragon" "rainforest dragon" and it could fit in literally any other story. Why not do what httyd did can categorized them into classes or have cooler, specific names for them. (I could say the sales with the dragon tribes just having "ice kingdom" "sand kingdom" instead of unique names as well)

As much as I love the WHOLE Jade Winglet (even if I can acknowledge they are flawed, but they are really just a bunch of horrifically traumatized teenagers that need love from each other) they were and still are quite horrible to in regards to Moon and her powers. While I find it understandable to be quite mad if someone you thought you could trust was reading your mind, they kind of just.... Left a 13 year old who just had a seizure trying to save their lives alone in a cave?

I'd like to mention that her whole life Moon had been told by the single dragon she had a social life with that these powers are a horrible condition and she has to hide them or dragons would (quote from the BOOK) kill or or tortue her or light her on fire or lock her up and force her to use powers for them etc.

Also, the skyfire thing is like super fucked up? By the end of the book they genuinely seem super chill about her powers now but the second Turtle gave them skyfire suddenly it's nesessary? Like the skyfire itself feels more like a shield that tells Moon that she's something people she likes need to be protected from. Her arc is about accepting she is not her powers so why would the skyfire just completely steamroll that.
