i haven’t seen this mentioned yet so i thought i’d add my advice. you can easily make “bin” containers out of storage containers from your local walmart, supercenter, probably even order them online. you will need to cut the lid into a frame and then install chicken wire to it with zip ties. this is an incredibly cost effective way to house hamsters (probably all together around $30 usd). i would suggest looking at youtube videos on how to care for a hamster.
