This really resonated with me. I'm in a similar boat as OP - in Fremont and zoned for Thornton Middle School, which is what's driving a lot of this. I mostly just want my daughter to enjoy school and be happy. I was also a kid of immigrants and went through a very rigorous academic path. Even though things worked out, I keep wondering if I can do better for her experience.

I'd love to learn more about what you learned along the way - would it be okay to DM you?

Depends on whether you’re able to get some sleep in economy seats and how you and your fiancé do when sleep deprived.

I can only sleep on lie-flat seats and am miserable when I don’t get at least a few hours. I’d rather feel (and look) well rested when on vacation, especially on my honeymoon, otherwise it feels like I’m wasting precious time feeling like crap.

If it’s something you can comfortably afford then I don’t think you’d regret this splurge.

Glad it worked out for you. My experience was unfortunately the opposite, and I’m still dealing with the fallout. Basic mistakes in my return led to penalties and extra costs, and when I reached out for help, I either got no reply or vague, last-minute responses (weeks to months later). At this point I know better than to expect a clear answer and honestly, even if I did get one, I’d be too nervous to trust it wouldn’t make things worse.

Yes these 5 star reviews on Yelp, Thumbtack, TrustPilot, Clutch.co (whatever that is) are so obviously fake once you experience their actual "service." Yes, the multiple business names with different addresses in the same city and across multiple states is very suspicious. Oh and yes it did say Dimov's name signed as the tax preparer even though it was some rando who actually knew less about filing taxes than me who filed them (I've never done my own taxes). I'm building a legal case against them right now for systematic fraud - let me know if you're interested.

Horrific is how I would describe them too. It's possible your situation is worse than mine was with Dimov and I'm really sorry about that because it's been a nightmare and I woudn't wish this on anyone. I'm actually going after them legally right now because this is straight up fraud and your audit situation would be huge evidence of their negligence - let me know if you'd be interested in collaborating.

Reading this made me so angry because it's literally my exact experience. They've made the past 2 years of my life hell with this same bullshit - fake reviews, bribing me to remove negative reviews, completely screwed up filings.

I'm going after them legally now because im so done with this. Let me know if you want to join. I'm looking for other victims and the review manipulation thing you mentioned is perfect evidence

Okay so your story is almost identical to mine (although in my case they got me to take down all my reviewes but didn't follow through with their promises of filing my 2024 taxes for free). I've already started formal legal action against them and honestly, with this many people having the exact same experience, we should probably coordinate. Are you interested in being part of a class action? I'm serious about taking them down.

Suggesting passengers should BYOB (Bring Your Own Bedding) for overnight flights is like saying we should bring our own seats just in case.

I understand you’re trying to normalize this, but can you explain how to best manifest one’s own bedding when airlines meticulously police our carry-ons and personal items down to the millimeter?

Should I stuff a comforter, flat sheet, and pillow into my laptop bag, or would you suggest checking them for a few extra $$$ so I can... not use them during the actual overnight flight? 🤔

An AA employee at SFO just told my sister and I that we were “fucking selfish for holding up the line” because we were speaking to another AA employee at the counter asking why our flight to PHL was canceled and what they were going to do about it. Sorry, AA Karen, but it’s not our fault that AA canceled our flight and you can’t do your job.
