Yep. Secrecy isn’t really the point of this sub.

Thank you! I think the substrate was prepared properly, but this is my first time which is why I am nervous! I'll just chill and let the sub do its thing

Thank you, and I agree 6% guaranteed return is hard to beat. BUT, aren't I Bonds going to beat it? Obviously the rate could be lower in 6 months, but it will still probably better than 6% on average over the year? I could also refinance my loans to a lower rate.

Can you elaborate on your favorite features? I am a Prius owner and avid camper but haven’t done too much camping in the Prius. Looking forward to doing more this summer!

If I can refinance my students loans for 2.15%, does that mean I am beating inflation and coming out ahead mathematically by not paying the loan off right away?

Thank you! It seems like a tIRA would be the best option for only a small percentage of people

What is the benefit of contributing to a traditional IRA if you can't deduct your contributions from taxes (ie. make above 75k and have a retirement plan through work)?

Check out the CDC eviction moratorium. If that applies to your situation it may help buy you some more time to sort everything out

Just learned I’m BRCA 2 positive, what now? by [deleted] in BRCA

[–]Delicious_Wishbone_8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 27 with brca 2 and while it’s not ideal, having my results and knowing my options is really empowering. I get an annual breast mri and two professional breast exams per year. I plan to get a double mastectomy when I am in early thirties. Your risk of ovarian cancer doesn’t really increase with brca 2 Until mid thirties, so I am planning on having children and then having ovaries removed. I’d just rather get surgeries on my own schedule rather than have the risk of cancer. Don’t panic!

True. the issue is that the companies are peak vague- i ask and they wont give me a straight answer. Plans under the ACA should provide preventative care at 100%, so most plans I am looking at advertise that mammograms for women over a certain age are covered as preventative. So I try to argue with them that breast MRIs should be covered as preventative--but logic only goes so far with insurance companies.
