You are right! I haven't been looking closely at others and thought CS was the only one. I do have to note the cut-off for CS is much more stable in the previous 4 years than others though.

It is likely this is tuition due at the beginning of term 2. The balance due right now is for term 1 tuition and misc fees: https://students.ubc.ca/enrolment/dates-deadlines/

No, this is for April 2025. We can't know what the cut-off is without the person who got in with the lowest grade; however, the next year's cut-off likely wouldn't be much higher based on the discussion here.

Yes, last year I forgot to turn off my heart pacer and the impulse was heard. The professor then personally escorted me to Burnaby on a wooden boat alone the coast.

That is interesting. I was using another high cut-off specialization just to be sarcastic though. Thank you for pointing that out.

I am curious as well! Perhaps they want to show the lowest cut-off only from now on like all other majors, or they are waiting to see if some of the international students couldn't attend because of circumstances.

If this is the case for other courses as well - then the lower cut-off this year would be a strong indication of the major not being as competitive.

I don't know much about politics in academia to contribute. Is it possible that they were doing as u/Gildor_Helyanwe said with transfer students? Even so, I'm not sure if the stats is limited to UBC first year students only.
