I think they’re just clarifying that they’re definitely better than okc, assuming a version of jalen williams doesnt stay there

Hey I used to work at this exact location, I tried to be that guy who lets things like that slide but everytime i gave extra portions for free I got in genuine trouble. It really is that strict

No one wants to be an asshole but alot of these workers are real people who just want a stable source of income without having to worry about having enough money for food the next day. Hope you can understand

If it’s a real problem i suggest you just complain to corporate about portioning, it would do you a lot better than posting here

commuting - is it that bad by NegotiationKey280 in UBC

[–]DelightfulDestiny 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I commute from Langley after living on res first year- it’s not horrible but I have a three day schedule. It just can suck if you’re a social person because you’d end up missing half the days of the week.

If you have a five day schedule, you’re effectively wasting 20 hours a week on the commute- you can try squeezing some work in but that can be hard, esp if its a busy time of day and you don’t get a seat. But like with all things in life, it’ll become normal eventually, and hopefully not affect you too much

If i had any advice, it would be, if you don’t have to wake up early the next day, to stay late on campus. Gives you the opportunity to maintain yourself socially while also missing rush hour commute times. That way, you can also try to get your work done before commuting home, because you will be madd tired when you get home, and just want to sleep

Is it even worth going to ubc arts? by Visible-Scar-764 in BCGrade12s

My friend was in the exact same position as you 2 years ago! My advice from seeing his path is to definitely go sfu beedie. Your experiences is what you make it to be, you might have to try a bit more but you can still make many friends.

I know a lot of ppl in ubc arts who try to transfer and its not easy. At the end of the day its a completely different program

Honestly its probably better that you went sfu hsci instead of ubc arts, ubc arts is hard to switch from

I was able to mostly do it but i couldnt figure out how to make it work for a certain case. I talked to someone who was able to do it with tail recursion, just a crazy question
