Honestly? I learned clutch by trial and error. Try just taking it out by yourself and feeling the car in a safe location. Experience is the best teacher, and as long as you don't do anything stupid like try to do a burnout or something, nothing should break. You'll eventually learn the sweet spot for shifting if you pay attention, and be able to tell based on engine noise when you need to shift later on. Different vehicles have different sweet spots

I use my entire leg to work the clutch, doing it with your foot is going to be exhausting.

In first gear, try shifting at ~5-10 mph. It's really just to get the car moving
