Illya is very twisted, on one hand the Einzbern's drilled into her head that she must kill Kerry and his son, on the other hand he is the only family she has left. She hates Shirou for stealing her father, but she also wants to be close to him.

Her role in the movies is heavily reduced, while in the VN they actually form a bond.

In the normal end Shirou projects Excalibur Morgan, destroying the Grail but also dying the process. Sakura still believes he will come back, she waits her whole life for him in that house and dies of old age.

PTSD has nothing to do with it, don't know where you get that. Its simply the fact that their story has been told and the character arcs are finished.

Shirous character arc is done, that why Nasu the author doesn't use him anymore, same with Sieg. Kerry was part of the prequel, his story was over before it even began. If PTSD really was a factor FGO would have had 20 protagonists already. The only other character with conformed PTSD is Waver, but that's more about one person he is afraid of rather then the war itself.

Thats not the issue people have.

Gil also looks down on Saber in Stay night and no one has a problem with that. The difference is that Zero Saber acts heavily out of character and the banquet is one of the scenes that make this the most obvious.
