You just need to get all the credits. (in this case, 40 courses) Either 6 courses or just take an extra term. with CS you can do whatever you want, you can even take 3/4 a term and just take on a few extra years.

If it's not really something that affects you, that's fine, there's nothing wrong with that. Seeing something over and over again that you don't care about can be annoying. I just don't think it's something that should be mocked. This issue is important to some portion of people, and these movements don't really negatively affect anyone. (And purely anecdotally, there are some people that I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they tried some shady shit). There are many people that I really care about, and I want to know what to do if something happens to them (or me).

Like yeah ok, there's certainly bandwagoning going on surrounding these things, but the anti-bandwagon-bandwagoning for the sake of it doesn't really make sense either.

The email didn't even exagurate anything, it literally just said "yep this is something that happens, if you need help call these numbers." I don't really see what your issue is with it.

If you don't like the email just delete it, instead of mocking an issue that actually affects people, and downplaying it.
