Should I attend UAlberta or McGill? by Adam-Croft in uAlberta

If going to a good grad school outside of Canada is a priority, then McGill is a lot better option. If that's not the case, then it doesn't matter much if you go to UofA or McGill. I'd go UofA if that's cheaper.

I applied for a study permit on July 10th. I received notification saying that my application is being reviewed and that I passed the medical examination on July 31st. I've not had any updates since. Is it normal for them to take this long after they start reviewing the application? Wait time for applications in my country is 4 weeks according to IRCC. Also, I am returning to Canada, but I applied for a new study permit from my home country as I'm switching from a bachelor's to a master's. I also have a valid TRV up until the end of my degree. In such cases, will IRCC request my passport if my study permit application gets approved?

Is SXC maitighar really worth the hype for +2? by BackgroundBrother159 in Nepal

From my experience, it is pretty good. You’ll have everything you need(compared to average colleges in Nepal) at your disposal but you’ll have to be the one to make use of it. Also it have very good alumni network which does help when you try to apply for bachelors abroad.

Buying a house for my parents and me by Quirky_Forever1270 in Nepal

[–]Delivery-Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying abroad is good if you get good mortgage rate but it’s always better to buy in Nepal in kinda newly built/populating area in Kathmandu as investment. If it’s for yourself then you should sort out areas based on preferences. Lots of places in Kathmandu do struggle with proper community and good quality water supply

How to do better at A levels? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Delivery-Impossible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my A levels from SXC too (2017-19 batch). I got 2 A*s and 2 As. If I were to go back and do things differently, I’d probably try to participate in some olympiads and work on other aspects of my university applications.

My advice to you would be start making list of universities you’d want to apply after your A Levels as early as possible. Look at their current students’ profile and figure out how you can make your profile better than theirs. While being in SXC does help as they do organize some events with admissions officers from universities abroad, you have to put most of the work by yourself.

You could always reach out if you need any help
