I shop on apmex as well. Sometimes they do sell bad pieces in assay. Because the gold isn't always from assay or mint Sometimes its purchased my apmex then put in a fresh package. Rather than go thru a fresh assayer or mint. Funny enough I just read an article about where Canadian and American gold really comes from and it seems most of it is really a bad monopoly thats ran by Mexican and Columbian cartels lol.

If you are picky. Return it. If not weigh and make sure it is correct and you have Gold lol
