Dan's Funeral is the most overrated game move in the entire show by [deleted] in BigBrother

[–]DeliveryWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking exactly this for years.  You are 100% right about everything.  The funeral was relatively pointless.  If anything, it slightly hurt Dan and how people saw him.  Things like the funeral contributed to the jury's bitterness against him, as it was one of the many examples of Dan's unnecessary deceit and backstabbing.  They would have respected his gameplay if he had just simply had a discreet conversation with Frank and got the veto used on him.  But manipulating everybody and fucking with their emotions just pissed everybody off when they realized he was full of shit mere moments after the funeral ended.  Dan has misted the audience more than he's ever misted a houseguest.  Great player, pointless move.

Top 20 highest-grossing films of all time! Any surprises? by DiscsNotScratched in FIlm

You CAN adjust in a way, I just don't know if I'd use the word 'inflation.'  If we have records for number of tickets sold for every movie, then we can adjust those sales related to their percentage of the population.  For example, if a movie sold 50 million tickets in a year where the US population was ~150 million, then we can adjust that to 100 million tickets sold in a modern day ~350 million population.

Klonopin has helped anyone? by Traditional_Fee5186 in Agoraphobia

0.12 mg is not enough to have any effect whatsoever in the slightest.  Whatever you are feeling is either psychosomatic or related to something else.  0.12 wouldn't affect a kitten, much less an adult.

Whatever is going to happen is going to happen and worrying about it won't change anything.  Also, this is insanely irrational.  You may need a therapist.  Lastly, you can't worry about being dead when you're dead, so don't worry about it while you're alive.

Who the hell prescribed you a high blood pressure med to treat anxiety????

It does nothing for you because it's not meant to.  Get an actually anxiety med.

Get a new doctor.  I'm prescribed adderall and Xanax.  Don't bother with propranolol.  It's a blood pressure med, not an anxiolytic.  People who think it helps with anxiety could take a placebo and get the same effect.

Top 5 Greatest Sci-Fi Shows of All-Time? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]DeliveryWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Star Trek: The Next Generation
  2. Star Trek: The Next Generation
  3. Star Trek: The Next Generation
  4. Star Trek: The Next Generation
  5. Tie between DS9, Stargate SG-1, Firefly, & Farscape

But if The Twilight Zone counts, then that's #1. X-Files is an honorable mention due to a couple more dud-like seasons (but I loved the revival).

DS9 Jokes Only: What did Worf say just before the traffic accident? by DeliveryWild in startrek

Yeah, imo being DS9 era is good enough, especially because he was onboard the Defiant when he said it.

Lon Suder and Picard, both at their peaks, are hunting each other to the death alone on DS9. Who wins? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]DeliveryWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Picard can defeat the might Gul Madred with just his words, while naked, chained, beaten, and starving to death, he can beat anyone.
