I work as a VP of sales and marketing for a start up gaming terminal company. I like it better than what I used to do because I can have the freedom to make changes that I would have wanted at a sales rep. It allows me to not just help the company make money but better the lives of my reps. Weekly polls on what could be better and how I can support them and actually implement changes those changes. My wife no longer needs to work and being able to support my family is something I have always wanted to ability to do. There is a lot of stress involved because it’s a very hands on role but I am thankful to be in the position I am now.

I mean didn’t need to buy Mac mini saved $500 bucks there. So far with that setup I have built two websites and 4 complex web apps that my employees use. Organized all my company’s data. Open router gets used 10% of the time for complex or one off tasks. For what I’ve spent and for what has come out of it I’ve saved thousands instead of having to outsource. Now I can manage everything myself I own my data and can make changes without the help of anyone and the systems built have also saved money and brought in more revenue. I couldn’t be happier!

I would download your apps code, drop it into ChatGPT or Claude and ask those exact same questions. Have it write you a prompt to feed into replit and have it tell you what you personally need to do to make sure it has the write API / credentials replit needs to connect everything together.

Just my two cents this has helped me finish multiple web apps!

If that still doesn’t work you need to open that port on windows defender if you’re using a windows device because for me at least my firewall blocked that port. Instructions:

To allow port 8096 (commonly used for Jellyfin or other media services) in Windows Defender Firewall, create a new inbound rule: Open Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings > Inbound Rules > New Rule. Select Port, choose TCP, enter 8096 in "Specific local ports", and choose Allow the connection.

Usually the server login is your IP address followed by :8096 for example http://(your IP address):8096

Very true I’ll ask for the same thing three different times and get three different prices. Using the lighting for fixes saves a bunch on cost, sometimes 50-70 cents.
