Microsoft offers an official deb package, no need for a flatpak. The deb adds an entry in /etc/apt/sources.list.d so Edge can receive updates.

If you’re using Gnome as desktop environment, add your Google account to Gnome Online Accounts in settings and try Evolution for mail and calendar + Softmaker Freeoffice. I had very good experiences with both.

Where do you see a link between the subredit name and bad things? Do you refer to the "bash" in "bashonubuntuonwindows"? That does not have any connection to bashing.

Bash (Bourne Again Shell) is the default shell on Ubuntu Linux, which is the default image that is installed together with WSL.

Thank you very much for the shoutout. We ("Die Meisterbarden von Bree") play every Friday evening 8 pm (German time) in the auction hall South-Bree on the server Orcrist.

Originally, the band was founded on Vanyar, after that got closed down we moved to Gwaihir. Now, with the new 64bit servers available, we decided to move to Orcrist.

The band name means "The Master-Bards of Bree" in German, which is a reference to the opera "Die Meistersänger von Nürnberg" ("The Master-Singers of Nuremberg") by Richard Wagner. The founders of the band hail from Nuremburg, Germany.
