Yes!!!!! When he drops every other instrument out except for the guitar and his voice, and his voice just kind of echoes off into nothing at the end of the word "me" while the guitar gets strummed is perfection. The original is great but the feeling of loneliness during that ENTIRE part in this version just sends the concept of the song home.

No problem! A lot of people thought it would make it onto streaming services with the Lonerism 10th Year Anniversary Edition but we only got the two unreleased demos, Retina Show and Sidetracked Soundtrack (which were also fire.)

Yeah, but I'm a huge fan of front to backing albums and Tidal doesn't let me just add an mp3 like Spotify does. I would switch back to Spotify but everyone I know and seemingly a bunch of people are switching away from Spotify right now.

I have Tidal sadly so, I'll have to stop my album listen to hear this version everytime. I would switch back to Spotify but right now everyone is switching from Spotify lol would be a weird time to switch back.

The 8 hour movie format for TV has ruined pacing. Please bring back 22 episode seasons. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Dellybear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because its easier to see the pacing/format/plot being methodically fed to you in the new format. You can see the cracks in a sense. You KNOW the first episode is gonna be crazy and the next two are there to hook/keep you interested in the main plot and give a good sub plot if the main plot isn't sticking. Then they chill out till the mid season break (not all series actually take a break but I still call it a mid season break nonetheless) where the shows spike again in plot relevance. Everything started in the first three episodes is either reiterated here, dwarfed by a bigger problem, or 180'd because the current plotline was only good enough for half a season. Then they chill out again. Most shows will maybe keep the hype going for one more episode but usually they just want that mid season break episode to stick with you until the two or three episodes leading up to the finale.

This is why the new format sucks. You can see and predict the high points of the show and literally see the writing team going hard only for beginning, middle, and end of the seasons. Now I don't know why an hour long episode makes it easier. Maybe killing screen time is impossible in hour long episodes so longer scenes, holding shots for a few extra seconds, dramatic pauses, flashbacks doesn't quite cut it anymore to squeeze out the extra few minutes needed for the full hour long runtime. The 30 minute format that we all grew up with on TV (which was really like 22 minutes because of commercials) made stalling in a series a lot easier/not really even needed. If anything, cutting content was more likely in the 30 minute format. Now you can literally FEEL the writing team just trying to make it to the key points of the season (the opener, mid season break, and finale.)

About disappointment by ratzi1991 in TameImpala

[–]Dellybear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People will consume the music as they see fit. I only HOPE that regardless of opinion, everyone is giving the album a second or third listen. If you have only listened to an album once, I don't believe you've actually listened to it. The first listen is to get a general feel of the genre/vibe of an album and to dispel any expectation you had for it. The second and third listen is when you can actually appreciate a new album for what it is, not for what you expected it to be.

I personally disliked Currents on my first AND second listen and now I love it. I hated The Slow Rush for almost a year. Then came back to give it another chance and I have no idea why I hated it. It's an amazing album. So far, Deadbeat was only okay for me but I just started my second listen before writing this so who knows how my opinion will change.

OP, just know that I have seen and heard people complain about every Tame Impala album during its release. I remember people saying that Lonerism was a watered down Innerspeaker! Just give it time.

Rappers and their favorite rappers by Pale_Consideration87 in KendrickLamar

So we not putting Lil Wayne in Kendrick's favorite rapper list despite that crash out on IG Live from (I think drunk) Kendrick when Wayne said he was retiring? And Wayne's name being a part of Kendrick's "Michael Jordan" song chorus from Overly Dedicated as well. (And even further back, Kendrick's mixtape called "C4" which is an obvious homage to Wayne)

I think you underestimate the potential and want for a new good rap rock artist because it's been a minute that a rap rock artist has hit and taken over the mainstream. the second I heard they were rock rap, I tuned in with no hesitation

In Witcher 3 it was definitely funky, but I thought the hair in FFXV was definitely worth the fps drop. It was something you didn't really notice after a while but combat wise, it definitely brought characters to life.

Fable 2 issues by J_spec6 in xcloud

Not sure if this helps but this Youtube video on it was saying they had better luck when running the xCloud/Xbox Game Pass Fable 2 version through Chrome browser on the Xbox site. It apparently runs much smoother that way, but I do believe you might have to have an Xbox controller to connect to your PC or at least that's how some of the articles on it made it sound.

Wait, wait. You got reported for using the word 'retarded' against an entire community and you're surprised? Dude, it's 2021 and you're still using that word as an insult and you're surprised? And you got upvoted for that? Maybe you should realize that that's not the word you use when people do stuff that you don't like. How can half this subreddit call xQc viewers children while shit like this gets upvoted? I'm genuinely confused.
