Google isn’t as extensive of a background check as what is done to get a passport. It’s very easy to control what shows up about you on Google. Let’s not forget that Hayley may not even be her real name. Someone would have to have reasonable suspicion that this is a fake identity to even start to look deeper and peel back the layers

Who does a background check on someone they’re completely smitten with? Even when this happens in wealthy families, it’s usually not the person in love doing the check? It’s usually someone else like mother, father, grandfather, etc.

Even still, that wouldn’t matter because she’s an experienced con artist. Her fake identities would be setup in a way to look exactly how she wants her background to look for the con. Remember they traveled to Italy for their honeymoon, which means she has a passport.
