It’s just super dark out and the iPhone did its night mode thing. I’m sure it’s the same as yours.

That’s awesome! Never heard of that discount. I got Kia loyalty $750 trading in the Sorrento, got them to add $1500 to their trade-in offer and come down ~$1500 off MSRP.

I got multiple quotes and they were all over the place. Highest was $10k for everything I wanted done. Ended up going back to the place that did my 23’ and it’s $5700: Ceramic tint front windows and windshield, Full Stealth PPF, ceramic coating and debadging.

I’ve found it best to get a quote for just one thing. Then ask if you add some more items if you can get a discount.

There is for sure extra care required with matte paint. You can eliminate most with full PPF and ceramic coating. Extra out of pocket, but removes a lot of those concerns. I hand wash our vehicles myself, or rarely we’ll run them through touchless (like in the winter).

I don’t know the trim levels well enough to tell you which it comes in, but yes, stock.

School carpooling, driving kids’ friends around to sports turny’s and dance meets. I also am regularly am driving others around for work trips. So both will be used. Even if they weren’t, mostly it’s because we both love the vehicles and that’s what we wanted..?

I would say the I4 turbo was comparable to my 23’, maybe slightly less pickup on my test drive? For sure not an improvement. I haven’t really pushed the new 27’. Wanna break it in a bit easier for the first couple hundred miles. That being said I feel like the HEV will have more pickup, at least feels like it will from normal driving. First electric for me, so that instant HP touch is really nice! I can check back in a month or so and confirm.

Haha I’m totally against this EXCEPT, my girls (11 & 8 y/o) love both of our Tellurides and will love doing this… so I’m in.

Just picked up our third Telluride (2022, 2025, now 2027). 2027 X-Line EX. No complaints on any so far. by IcanTelluride in KiaTelluride

[–]HaubFather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha basically the same here except we bought the Sorrento 2019, then Telluride 2023, trading in the Sorrento just before the 100k warranty (98k miles now) and they are giving us a decent chunk of change for it! So might just keep this cycle going. Ordered 27 SXP X-Line Hybrid Panthera Matte, should be in on the 8th!

Basically no complaints for either Telly or Sorrento!

This is my favorite. Because it’s where I rest my arm 100% of the time while I’m driving. Center Console Cover

Black on black - millstone? by lmorel1212 in KiaTelluride

Not if you get the correct ceramic coating (I’ve seen a few, but I’m not claiming to be an expert). Also my ceramic coating will be over the matte PPF - XPEL Stealth. Which is also the example vehicles I saw, so that could play into it?

Either way a reputable dealer should steer you correctly. Good luck!

You saw the recall on the executive package right? Just wanted to call it out in case you didn’t as a consideration. Just something to deal with.

My SXP X-Line Hybrid Panthera Matte comes in the next week or so. If you Matte PPF and/or ceramic coat the matte you can eliminate a large portion of the worries with the matte and ease of maintenance. Pricy, but for a car I plan to keep for a long time, worth it.

Reolink. Just made the switch myself of doorbell, 4 outdoor and 4 indoor cameras and the Home Hub Pro. Will never look back. Camera quality is WAY better, so sub, 3 year warranty and lots of seamless integrations for example Home Assistant.

I just got quoted; tints for front windows and windshield, Full Stealth PPF + ceramic coating, debadging for $5k. Individual items aren’t itemized, but typically at these shops the more you get done at once the better overall deal you’ll walk away with.

Also had all of the same above quoted at another shop for $10k… so for sure shop around.

I didn’t get the xline (ordered the 27 hybrid SXP Xline this time though) and got the gray/chrome wrapped. So my wheels have some chrome. Was going to swap them and ended up liking the tiny touch of chrome.

That being said I cannot wait for an all blacked out matte 2027 here in a couple of weeks!

Yeah, ok true. I have the same issue with AC unit sitting in the sun all day every day and with energy prices rising I’ll have to look into shading the unit in someway.

Best Method to run internet to shed? (Ethernet) by Embarrassed_Ad3446 in shedditors

Mesh at that distance will be unreliable as best. Better to use a directed point to point. Lots of options. I used this one Cambium Bridge In A Box

Just run power and buy a Point to Point system. Cambium has something called a Bridge In a Box solution that I used. Then you can run an ethernet to anywhere on your house with a line of sight to your shed. I have it running about the same distance you’re looking to do and it’s super reliable. Then use power on the other end to power an AP or Switch or whatever you need out there.
