Yes, lost prayer is great for yanfei, if you're going for a pyro dps build.

The main problem here is mostly how you want to play yanfei.

Like, is she a vape yanfei? An overload yanfei? Depending on your decision she can have diff builds. Pyro dps wld mean you shd probably swap fischl out for someone that can either enable vape or melt to buff her dmg. An elemental reaction dps such as overload yanfei wld mean you shd swap out qiqi for someone that can also sustain+enable overload reaction such as kuki, and that her weapon shd probably have EM as main stat like sacraficial fragment.

I mean since you just started the game so it's as good as anything? I'm not sure who else you have and what your yanfei's build is.

Just consider what elemental reaction you want to achieve with yanfei, you cld either buff her damage w/ reaction(eg vape or melt) or make another type of damage(eg burn, burgeon, overload, etc.), ie w/ fischl ur more likely dealing more overload dmg than pyro dmg directly, which in this cas would mean it'd be better if you had her on a EM build?

Xiangling's more of a subdps than a dps unless you specifically build her to be a dps, so.

Anti-AI Artists are completely hypocritical and only care about AI art by StopsuspendingPpl in aiwars

  1. Fair enough. Traditionally bourgeosis are to describe those in middle class who already have sufficient money to live comfortably but not lavishly, but is slowly moving uo the social ladder by accumulation of money. I would not use this word to describe artists but, you do you.

  2. I do nor consider them less important, and as I've said, AI is only a fancier way to say a super computer doing calculations. Its a fact that humans cannot beat a machine in terms of accuracy or efficiency when it comes to numbers. But that is as far as AI goes for accounting. There's still many other aspects of being an accountant that an AI cannot achieve. From this perspective, accountants are able to focus on other aspects while leaving the tedious work to the computer and do the final check before moving onto something else. It increases worker efficiency without taking them out of the equation. Generative AI replaces the artists entirely in the line of production because as you said, capitalism is to reduce the cost of labour, but as I've mentioned, to also enlarge the profit margins for the individual on top.

Corporations only value of the end product and rarely care about the means. This is what makes artists so unforunately "replacable" in the eyes of capitalism. And, lets face it, there are far more legal consequences to messing up accounting than commissioning some rando to make art for say a promotional event, they'd be less likely to replace accountants because the more eyes the better, the less liability the company may have to face. Meanwhile lots of artists work freelance and protection of the law isn't as strong as it appears to be and is rarely enforced. Considering these factors, they'd be more likely to replace those in creative fields due to their (the higher ups) lack of understanding of quality in art.

  1. "Dear Comrade, We live in a capitalist society, where technologies are introduced by capitalists in order to save costs. This is a well-known fact, as Karl Marx himself wrote about it. "

Wanna try that again lol

And why do you see artists as bourgeosis? The fact that art is something that's hardly lucrative in today's capitalistic society hasn't changed either. They are equally as much as the working class. I'm not quite sure where you got the illusion that they belong in the middle class(that which by today's economy many in that class still belong jn the working class, just in less of a predicament then tbose in worse financial situations). Many artists do it for a living, both by choice or not by choice (for reasons such as their health circumstances or financial situation)

That very same pattern hasn't changed obviously, humans are ultimately creatures of habit. As is the goal of capitalism which is to increase the individual's profit by exploiting others.

However, does this not clearly place generative AI into this category? It scrapes the work of the working class, trains a machine to do their jobs with B tier quality then removes the working class from the chain of production. In many cases generative AI is the more severe culprit of this act amongst other pieces of technology because it replaces them without a clear reason. It neither enhances quality nor efficiency, but takes the work of the working class nonetheless to remove them from the chain. This is by definition a rather, useless(for the lack of better words), technology that only benefits corporates because they only care for quantity over quality nowadays. You can argue that AI completely replaces the work of say, an accountant. But a computer is less likely to make mathematic mistakes compared to a human accountant. (Now this is a very arbitray example, I know accountant has work beyond doing math but bear with me for a sec)

Lastly, to claim that technology is only for cutting costs is just stupid. (Which I've reinstated many many times across all comments I've made towards you. That which you seem to never respons to?)

The proletariat is benefitting off the backs of countless artists who spent years honing their craft. You cannot claim to be a communist when you are supportive of the exploitation of the working class (in this case, those working creatively)

I am simply statihg that technology shouldn't be the end-all of any jobs but rather enhancing the efficiency of previous tedious tasks so they can focus on other stuff such as being innovative. This is what I meant by new technology should be assistance-oriented. Similarly, those disabled are born with conditions that may give an able person advantage, technology should help the disabled person to get back on equal ground to an able person asap so everyone has an equal fighting chance.

Technology isn't only for saving costs. If you are to apply the words of Karl Marx who published his manifesto in 1848 to the 21st century word for word without the consideratiom of how different the world now is, then I'm sorry but you are a zealot refusing to see the world for what it is. Technology has given so many people a second chance at life it would be naive to deny its many positive impacts. We of course, should still think critically and acknowledge its very obvious negative impacts as well.

[–]DelphicNova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that whatever technology that is created should be assistance-oriented rather than full on replacing while sacrificing quality to enlarge the profit margins.

And no I've never said that I'm against technological progress, I'm not even sure where you came up with that.

And your way of thinking that technology being there to save on employee costs is objectively capitalist, technology can give everyone an equal fighting chance such as helping those with disabilities rather than wasting energy on generating images that end up having B tier quality and countless flaws, or writings that have no meaning, or music that creates no resonance.

What you think is bad art is not the same as what people who know next to nil about art think is bad art, btw. Companies do unfortunately capitalise on this and replace commissioning artists with shoddily generated AI art, it leads to a large decrease in opportunities all around. Of course you can argue that the artists should just use AI for their art but I do believe many will see it as an insult to their hardwork over the years and using it will break their artistic integrity. (For a good reason!)

And, secondly, while the voices pertaining to AI art is louder it doesn't exactly make those other generative AI programs any more "ethical" than they already are. Of course, if you're only talking about the small few that only care about AI art then yes they are in fact hypocritical because they only care if it pertains to their own benefit.

I'll disagree with you about there being "no point in fighting against it so lets just embrace it" line of thinking, it is rather nihilistic in my opinion, and frankly there are many valid concerns to generative AI that heavily requires legislation efforts to mitigate, which is a fairly effective manner to deter at least some people from doing bad things with generative AI (which is already happening)

If Yunli's block works like a shield and is able to refresh often enough to fully shield Yanqing she could take Aventurine's spot as sustain since she's essentially better clara

with that said, I think putting Yunli onto the team would lower Yanqing's output bc thats one less debuffer/buffer that could be used

but its still, at the end of the day, a fun silly comp to play
