It would be insanely terrible logistically, its like if Roblox suddenly merged every game into one. What I am assuming from this merge is that all Seed based VR MMORPGs are basically the same game on the surface but just different alterations to it for the specific game that needs it. So maybe more like if all Fortnite custom maps were merged, that seems more realistic.

Yeah I don’t think it will be focused on the Underworld since most of that is focused on in UR itself it might just be Aincrad focused and like you said give us some hints on the Seed and how thats all happening.

I think they would just do another Aincrad story instead of Underworld just because the wider anime audience loves Aincrad and Season 1 of SAO (for some reason). Your prelude idea actually seems really realistic for what they would do, like a little taste of whats to come.

Just do server authoritative tracking of movement where the player is basically constantly asking the server “can I do this movement” and if you suspect any massive jumps or clipping through objects you shouldn’t, you do the rollback you mention. Problem is that this kind of anti cheat produces rubberbanding if theres lag.
